What will the next DLC have?

What will the next DLC have? Another ridiculous price tag, no doubt. I wouldn't mind if, for example, they had actually tested the game for bugs before release or perhaps made multiplayer work for people that don't have a random LAN network in their bedrooms. The only thing that sucks more is the guy that suggested Belgium as the next civ earlier in this thread.

DLC Belgium

UA: Your nation has at any given time, a 10% chance of dissolving into civil war between the Flanders and Wallonia regions. Civil war will cause additional +20:c5angry: -50%:c5culture: -50%:c5science: for 30 turns.

UB: Cacao Brewery - when built your civilization may produce a new luxury: beer with chocolate taste flavor.

UB: EU Headquarters - when built you may trade the beer luxury with all other friendly civilizations with European origins.

I like... :)

An Irish civ! Of course i want that because im irish!

Id like to see Shaka back in the game as Zulu, Although I probally wont buy DLC, I'll just wait untill they bunch them up into an expansion. :)

The addition of stone as new tile makes me feel fairly confident that the next dlc will be a more "tribal" society. (Atolls - Polynesia) Zulus a good bet. Heres hoping for a new Native American civ!

Love it, Agent Cooper. I was thinking about it at work too actually. I decided on a "chocolatier" UB and a UA that involves invading forces not even realising they are in Belgium (because it's just a long road and some grim buildings on the way to Calais), thereby causing any aggressors to your civ to accidentally declare war on France instead. They are also forced to pay the Belgian player one gold per unit, to cover fuel and snack costs at the highway service station, as they pass through.

:lmao:

Well, then allow me to add that if the invading civ is France, the Belgian UA will cause civil war to erupt in France instead. :D

Are you trying to insult Finns on purpose?

That is the only way to get Finland in the CiV. Also its reasonable as Denmark is in reality Denmark and Norway. So if Sweden ever comes most likely it will be Sweden and Finland combined. I don't see the problem there.

Just to note that Israel will never be a playable civilization in the game and thats a fact. Even Finland would have better chance to get to be in the game as a civilization than Israel.

Well, if you go by the 'combining countries to get some smaller ones in', then Israel is already in, either through the Romans, the Arabs, the Persians, the English, the Ottomans or the Egyptians :p

More ontopic:
The lack of naval changes in the patch almost makes certain it'll be a land-based civ.
The addition of stone makes it plausible that it's a more ancient, tribal, civ.

Civs that spring to mind are the Zulu, the Celts (but European, so fat chance), Sumeria, the Mayans and probably some more.
When thinking of a UB that might have to do with stone, the Maya's surely make a compelling case, with their stone temples, ballcourts, palaces, observatories and whatnot.

I believe the place refered to on Pharoah Shishank (did i spell it right?) Stele - where he boasted conquest in Lybia - that he conquered a country called "Isa Rel" and he comments "The Seed of the House of David sows no more".

At worst, i agree this old kingdom of migrants who culturally subjegated the indiginous residtents of Canaan into one nation and survived many tragedies - is worthy of a civilization scenario and possibly a city state.

But as with Korea, i would hate to think about a TSL earth map and a small simulation for this. I start as a country the size of a city state, i have the space to build 1 city, and it better serves as a city state.

Now, for a scenario where Canaan is the focus, and that region is highlighted in an RFC type of scenario, i do see the fun in leading Abraham the Worker out of Urfa and into Egypt, where the unit becomes a settler instead, gains a worker and is told to go north to Caanan. In the end, with all due respect to Isareal, i would ALMOST rather a different nation from that age - maybe Damascus.

It would be cool to have another African society. I am not too excited about Korea though.

Other civs I'd like to see are:
Canada
Israel
Hungary
Belgium
Australia
Maya
Carthage
Phoenicia
Sumer

Canada? I'd say Canada definitely has no important role in world history or cultural development. As a result, it definitely does not deserve to be in the Civilization series. The same can be said about Australia, New Zealand, and most of the New World countries.

However, I'd agree with Hungary, Carthage, and Sumeria, since they all had relative important places in history. Others I have in mind are:

Austria
Dutch Republic
Poland
Sweden

It would also be nice to have a scenario about the Sea People and the Bronze Age collapse. That's be like a mini "World War" in the Ancient World.

I think it will most likely be the Dutch. They are the most influential European power that isn't already in the game, so it makes the most sense to put them in next. If anything, I hope the new civ is made for technology whores like myself. :)

They've already done 2 euro civs(Spain/Denmark), one asian(Mongolia), one...oceanic(Polynesia), one native american(Inca), one middle east(Babylon), so the odds of the dutch being the next seem highly unlikely especially considering the lack of African additions. They, the Dutch, also aren't as high on the polls as Carthage, Zulu, and Korea. Again, stone added as a tile, like atolls for the Polynesia patch, leaves me confident the next dlc culture will correspond with stone in some way. Dutch are not known for their stone-working. ... least not that I'm aware of.

It doesn't matter whatkind of history the nation has but what will sell. I don't think DLC of Israel would sell that well. Not to mention that its a subject many people avoid and usually game makers as well, because of the current political reasons. So its totally unlikely they would ever add Israel.

Spearman/Pikeman AI improvement + Stonework + not Europe seem to be the clues:

Zimbabwe -- Great Stone fortifications, did they have spear armies?
Maya -- Holkan and Incredible Stone cities. Probably the best fit...
Zulu -- (spears for sure, maybe Kraal building that replaces stable and gets a cow bonus, since cows are being slightly lessened to make room for stone?)
