When browsing the internet, do you use...

Tabs or Windows?

:agree:
When I have to use the Windows explorer to move or copy some files, I always hit Ctrl-T like mad and then start ranting how stupid Windows is. Konqueror, the KDE file manager, has tabs :)

I don't quite understand how that makes it easier.
To switch between windows I only have to hold Alt and press Tab several times. To switch to a non-recent tab in another application, I have to press Alt+tab to switch to the application, then press Ctrl+Tab to switch to the correct window.

Similarly, if I'm using the mouse, I'd have to click on the application then on the correct tab, instead of just having one click to get me where I want.

I use both, but it generally depends on when. A series of linked pages usually go in a separate window, with each item in a different tab.

Tabs, though I'm starting to lean towards grouping tabs of the same kind on separate windows to make it easier to find them.

One of my friends at work uses Opera and never closes a tab until the computer won't allow him to open another one. He averages about 8 windows with 15 or more tabs each at all times.

Depends which computer I'm using. On my own (desktop) computer, I have IE7, and use tabs. (And it has Vista.)
On the work-issued (laptop) computer I use, I must keep IE 6, and use windows. (And it has XP.)

I guess I'll vote for tabs, since that is my preferred method of browsing, but I probably spend half my time on the laptop.

Tabs, since that's what oepra prefers. And it's just a lot more convienient.

I keep all the sites I go to regularaly (forums, webbased games, as well as things I want(ed) to download) (excluding ones like google, youtube, comics, etc) in tabs and never nee to open a new window and I don't need to use my bookamrks much.

ie7 is more secure and efficient ie6 vs firefox firefox used to win but not anymore sadly ie7 is now more secure although many firefox fans will disagree with me I have both on my pc can set both of there security settings to high and I'll go to a site nd get a virus with firefox but not ie7 also the tabs are faster in ie for me at least. Using seperate windows is just dumb.

i use both. i find it much easier to organize all the web pages.

eg. Porn, finance, game, wiki, forum all have their own window. website under the same cat has their own tag. :D
