attempting to form groups with people of the same sex because people of the opposite sex keep trying to kill you is LITERALLY discrimination on the basis of sex, i can't believe this
Sounds more like a case of paranoia to me, rather than a discrimination.

Google: who are women most likely to be murdered by
Completely irrelevant, as the vast majority of people are not murdered.

i also put the least possible amount of effort into understanding the things i read online
Never has a truer word been spoken.

It's okay I had already noticed that, you didn't need to point it out. Having said that though, please consider the above alteration to the statement for completeness.

you're right

all those abuse victims and anyone who reads statistics are just paranoid
Not all of them.
But if a woman was a victim of abuse and it made her think men "keep trying to kill her", then she needs psychological help.
Self-isolation from society is not a solution.

If you really think that men as a group are trying to kill women as a group, then maybe you should visit a psychiatrist. You might qualify for some nice little bonuses like free housing if you know what I mean.
look, it's not my fault that you think your own posts are dumb, there's no need to project like this

hashtag not all men
First google result for "who are most likely to murder women"
https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-person-most-likely-to-murder-a-woman-her-romantic-partner

More than half of women murdered in the U.S. are killed by a male partner—and one in six are pregnant at the time of death.
this is a pointless discussion to attempt to have, the best you can do is make fun of the people who flatly refuse to learn anything

they have access to the internet, the information is there for them, and they refuse to do the bare minimum

it tells you all you need to know about their shallow approach to this topic and how quickly they are to call people crazy for thinking that maybe it's kind of dangerous to be a woman and that mistrust of men is not something that should get them sent to the big house

I'm not trying to have a discussion, I'm just trying to keep some rails on this thing for the sake of the lurkers

It's not normal for human to be afraid of people of the opposite sex. If we are talking about women who were recently traumatized and need rehabilitation, I can understand the need for a temporary female-only safe space. Otherwise, if they consider themselves fine and healthy, making gender-specific clubs for women is the same bad practice as clubs for men only.

Yeah, a nice, tight jacket is probably the best thing for you if you seriously think that it's right for people of one sex to be afraid of the other sex because of a crime that the vast majority of people of both sexes will neither fall victim to, nor become the perpetrator of. You are, after all, arguing in favor of paranoia.

yeah, like, i don't know how to have a discussion with someone as unaware of the nuances of society as this

like i don't know where to begin

i guess i'm too used to interacting with people who have even a basic understanding of the dynamic of gender and power structures

i guess you can start by reflecting on the statement "it's not normal for a human to be afraid of the opposite sex", because it's correct. i want you to imagine that, despite this, many individuals of one sex are conditioned to be wary of members of the other sex, and maybe possibly consider that it's not completely irrational

Some posters are acting like there is an objectively correct rate of murder to be a afraid of.
Is it sensible to be afraid of Muslims because of Muslim Terror attacks?

Could you come back in a few years when you've ripened a bit?

Well yeah, probably because they realize their position in this discussion might come back to bite them when they argue that it's totally okay to be afraid of Muslamics or black people.
