The dollar is still up almost 20% on the year, and no a high dollar is good for the country even if its bad for exporters.

considering how much exports make up of our economy, I wouldnt say things being bad for exports is good.

40% of our economy is exports.

Yes, a part of that is that our country been exporting has been the weak dollar. Now that the dollar is strong again, our economy base will start shifting somewhat, especially if the loonie continues to rise.
