Where you stand on the political compass..

I can't believe I'm farther right than luiz :hmm:

Economic Left/Right: 4.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.03

Seems correct

Maybe I was so close to the centre because I only answered "Strongly..." on one or two questions.

Yea, i only answered 'strongly' on some. Most of the economic ones were just agree or disagree, so a fairly central score for me. I would think on a scale of 1 to 10 (so there is no middle number) would be a better way to do it.

This test is poorly designed, and no results should be taken seriously
Of course this test is for fun and not a scientific test

1. "A significant advantage of a one-party state is that it avoids all the arguments that delay progress in a democratic political system." - This is true; I can't imagine how anyone could deny that it avoids many "arguments that delay progress" by its very nature, but I'd imagine that the author of the site awards authoritarian points for anyone who agrees.
I don't agree. Yes there are tons of useless arguments, but without a multi-party system you can't represent the different preferences of heterogenous societies; therefore IMO, answering yes is clearly autoritarian.
In sum arguments are necessary to mediate between different preferences, even if they are often abused

So I actually bothered to do the test to see if my memory was accurate. I think it's about where it was when I last took it in March.

-8.85, -4.65

I wonder if I can claim the Farthest lefty Commie here aswell.

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -9.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -8.21

EDIT: Other then NK who hasnt taken the test I can claim the title King of The Commies on CFC

Here is the distribution of posters whose information is currently available. I have circled my own dot out of unalloyed egotism.

Thanks for the graph taliesin! I see theres no one really close to me yet, and only a few folks who are really central on both aspects.

@Taliesin
what is the average so far?

My data point is alone... oh so alone... :( ;)

R squared is 0.26, which is a fairly large correlation between economic and social scores.

Talesian, thats cool. You should make a version using peoples avatars, instead of the dots.

The average score thus far is -1.37, -2.31.

 That would require a very very large graph.

Indeed, im thinking billboard sized, so else you'd have loads of peoples overlapping as well, or so small that you can make out what avatar it is.
Maybe if you got the time and energy you can use numbers, and then do a legend. should be able to do that easy in excel.

Or a slightly bigger map, and smaller avatars. It would be cool to see, but a pain to put together no doubt.

I considered doing text labels, which wouldn't require a much bigger chart. Unfortunately I don't have time to do it right now, but I probably will later.
