I was born in 1965. And my birthday was 2 days ago. Imagine my surprise to find a birthday greeting from CivFanatics in my Inbox that morning!
I started with Civ II, and introduced my husband (born in 1960) to it. He is almost as fanatical about the game as I am, but he has less time to play. And our daughters, one born in 1988 and one in 1990, both love it too.

I was born in the 60's, but my kids (ages 8 and 13) also love the game (though they play it quite differently than I do -- more like a Real-Time Strategy game than I would like then too

@Stolen Rutters - do I take it you've read Shogun ? A fine book.
Being from the Nuclear duck-and-cover lessons in grade-school era, I wonder how if my simular aged players are quicker, or later to try to ban nuclear weapons. No judgement here, just an ingrained dread, I guess. After all, we were shown some REALLY scarey film lessons (I was in 2nd grade in '54).
