There could very well be a few 4-6 year olds playing. Now they might still be on settler level and have no idea what they are doing except moving around the "warrior dude" but that still counts as playing
I'm 22 and I got my first Civilization when Civ II came out...
that means I was 12 when I first played Civilization II...
man, did I love it. Infact it got me into politics and history. So now I'm finishing my undergrad degree in Economics and Political science because of Civilization II. Then its off to law school... So if Sid Meier is reading this.
LOOK WHAT YOU DID!!! I could have been a doctor!!!! Now I'm gonna be a scum sucking politician! I blame youuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!
Well, I was one of the two from the 30's when this poll first posted... 1936, Been playing civ from its beginning. Maybe I'llnever get too old to learn.
Looks like we have a winner, and I'm included, three cheers one yippie skippie and an almighty amen for those in the arbitrary statistacal competition.
Obviously, I am one of the 30's, but I think not the oldest. I remember a previuos poll like this for Civ III, and someone said he was 80. Hope I'm still playing when I get 80. Maybe i'llnever get old.
70s. Which means I was able to play Pong, had an Atari 2600 with lots of Activision cartridges, then moved up to the Ultima series on a Commodore 64, then got to play the original Civ, MOO, and MOM on an IBM PS/2. Remember when a 50 meg hard drive seemed like a big deal?
