Being from the Nuclear duck-and-cover lessons in grade-school era, I wonder how if my simular aged players are quicker, or later to try to ban nuclear weapons. No judgement here, just an ingrained dread, I guess. After all, we were shown some REALLY scarey film lessons (I was in 2nd grade in '54).
Were you born 1947? I remember the bomb drills and lining up in the school basement hallways waiting for the all clear.

Welcome Toobs!

'90s. Go No-fad generation! Well, maybe their was a fad back then, but I never know/remember!

She's wrong! And my 5-year old brotha likes messing up with WorldBuilder.(Look, I made army with nukes, tanks and LIONS!)

there is a pretty cool and very predictable trend with less older players and more younger player but not that young, that is pretty cool, however this might just be a poll of the age of forum users and in fact equal nmbers of all ages play civ.

I first started playing with Civ 2. I can't remember when, but it had to be at least 2 years after it came out. It sat in my closet for a year because my dad said it, "Would be too hard for me to play." Well, I decided to prove him wrong and installed it on my Windows 3.11 system. It was also the first program I ever installed by myself :-D.

I think a lot of PC gamers come from the late 80s. It was the perfect time for it. By the time we were reaching our early teens, computers were well in place.

yeah, i'm with the majority!!!!!!!
somehow logical, we guys from the eighties may have played civ1 (i did) and
definately played civ2, which makes you a civfanatic for the rest of your life :-)

Well, less than the age of 7 anyway... ;)

1994always the youngin:mischief: :)

Also have to factor in the younger players 80's and 90's are more likely to use the internet and be able to find a forum such as civfanatics.

Older players are less likely to use the net effectively.
