Which is your favourite European country (with poll)?

This poll (yes it does have a poll) was created to see which European country Europeans and outsiders think is best. I know (and you probably know) there are only 19 available slots for countries names (not including the manadatory other answer). Some of you may view this poll and after a minute of searching discover that the country you preside in or worship from a far is nowhere to be see. For this I can only say sorry in advance. I will select the countries on the following criteria: size of country, political importance, name (i.e. how cool it sounds), how they feel towards Britain (I know its bias but hey what are you gonna do) and a number of other criteria that I am sure people will tell is a reason why there country should be in or why another country should be out. Also I will unfortunately have to include France however much I know everyone hates them.

Why would you include Liechtenstein but not Austria?

Oh well, I went with Italy in terms of tourism value. But Germany and Austria are both beautiful with excellent food, and the UK has a fine city in London.

Why would you include Liechtenstein but not Austria?

Come on Liechtenstein sounds SO much better than Austria. What have the Austria ever done for Europe? They don't deserve to be on this poll. Anyway Austria is pratically the same as Germany.

There are only 19 countries posted, but does any one know how many countries there actually are in Europe? There must be about 50. If you want to get fussy, the UK contains about 10+ by itself

(England, Scotland, Wales, N.Ireland, I.O.M. , all the channel islands)
and I'm sure there are dozens of little principalities I've never heard of kicking about.

Austria used to be a giant empire, remember? Besides that, Austria did much more for Europe than Liechtenstein! Austria is the country of that dance, the country of great componers, the country where every year millions of tourists come to practice winter-sports.
