If jesus is mythical though possible it would be very improbable.

Imagine the cover-up and story they had to make up for that.

So if jesus is mythical then why wouldnt muhommad or moses be? Or any other prophet for that matter?

How about we drop the Jesus references so we can all have a good time talking about the fantasy monsters, eh?

Ok, does satan count as a monster? Who would win in a fight beetween satan and jesus?

sigh. Final request. Drop it.

Well can i talk about biblical monsters? :mischief:

What about a fight beetween goliath and the animated noahs arc with seige weaponry and archers on the ship?

That shouldnt offend you.

Only the Nephilim(hybrids of angels and men, corrupt, evil, licentuous, creatures of great iniquity) Come close to being what I would say are monsters, although some of the Demons of hell are supposedly pretty corrupt and monsterous and Kane is probably no longer human or at least humane assuming he still wonders the Earth, unless your going to get metaphorical with the description of course. Pretty soon we'll have Stalin and Hitler being described under that lable though, let's just keep it mythical non biblical eh, it's less confusing?

What about succubi?

Succubus! They tempt mortals to ruin through sexual charm.

Then its no wonder who would win in a fight beetween jesus and muhammud.

Muhammad was a war-mongerer and jesus a pacifist.

Hercules is a demi-god and not a monster. Unless you consider Greek heroes monsters, mind you his dad was a bit of a bastard, but then when your a god you can get up to all sorts of dodgy crap and no one can touch you.

I consider him a man and therefore voted hippocampus.

Chimera
Mixture of beasts, lion, goat, dragon or some such

Scylla
Don't know

Oni
no idea

Gorgon
Actually people usually think this refers to the Medusa but it also refers to any of the cursed titans punished by the Gods.

Kappa
Greek letter?

Hydra
Nine headed?(IIRC) land bound dragon.

Cyclops
One eyed giant with a foul temper and a like of strong drink, not bright.

Mermen
opposite of mermaids

Minotaur
The beast in the Labaryinth of minos, a large powerfully strong man with the head of a bull.

Basilisk
A lizard creature capable of paralysing all who gaze upon it.

Djinn
Think the Gennie of the lamp, creatures of fire that live in the desert and are usually invisible, they can sometimes be seen as dust devils.

Golem
Creature made up of many different materials although most commonly stone, very tough and extremely resistant to many forms of damage and as mindless automatons controlled often by a powerfull mage, they are unaffected by most magic.

Gryphon
Large Eagle like creature. Easilly capable of carrying several humanoids

Hippocampus
I forget

Hippogryph
Mix of a horse and a gryphon

Lamia
It'll come to me

Lycanthrope
Were animal, most commonly a wolf

Pegasus
Duh, Winged Horse:)

Phoenix
Everyone knows what a pheonix is a bird that can return from the ashes of the flames to life

Rukh
Also known as a castle, best to keep these for castelling opportunities later:)

Banshee
Originally called the Bean Sidhe pronounced Ban shee this wicked Godess often appears when someone is to die her cry is said to turn men insane. Typically though just the herald of doom

Familiar
Follower of a mage, dependant on his moral compass, it could be an evil imp or a sage owl

Naga
Snake like creatures, vaguely remember these guys I think?

Teng
Don't know.

Radioactive Monkey!
No one has ever been able to document these creatures, they seem to change with the seasons having all sorts of probably mythical powers assigned to them? Your guess is as good as mine?

Off the top of my head, I guess I could actually look them up in the monstrous manual(I knew there was a reason I kept that book:)) But you could just type there names into google.
I'm happy to elaborate:

Scylla- as in "Scylla and Charybdis:" Scylla is pretty much a Hydra who's body is a stone, and CHarydbis is a huge whirlpool; they guard the Straits of Sicily

Oni- basically a Japanese version of the Ogre, it spreads diseases and whatnot, too

Kappa- a Japanese creature who captures swimmers; the Pokemon Golduck was supposed to reseble what the Japanese think he looks like

Hippocampus - part of the brain,it controls memory I think ( a joke, as it was above Hippogryph)

Lamia- Zeus fell in love with Lamia, and Hera took away her children in jealousy. Lamia began to steal and kill the children of others, in revenge. She became a hideous creature. Because Hera had condemned her to sleeplessness, Zeus gave Lamia the ability to remove her eyes in order to sleep. She was also known as a fiend who, in the form of a beautiful women, enticed young men to her embrace so that she might devour them. In later legend the lamia was a vampire that seduced young men.
The women Lamia was originally a beautiful women. She later became a hideous creature. Lamia are also described as any of a class of monsters, half women and half serpent, which lured people in order to suck their blood.

Rukh- A giant bird of prey, capable of carrying off elephants and the like

Naga- a Hindu creature, it is a snake with a human head, but can go either fully human or fully snake, as it wishes. They live in huge underwater palaces and cities and the like

Tengu(yes the poll was a typo)- they are proud warriors reincarnate, these supernatural creatures bring about earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. They live in small cheifdoms in the mountains

But you forget that Jesus can raise the dead!
Jesus would raise an army of undead. Not to harm Muhammad of course, but simply to restrain him long enough to formulate an exit strategy. If the Dead Sea happened to be nearby, Jesus could make use of his divine power to walk on water and escape before Muhammads marauding Ansar cut a swath through the affable undead.:p

I give you the video Madness!

Basilisk.

"In European bestiaries and legends, a basilisk is a legendary reptile reputed to be king of serpents and said to have the power of causing death by a single glance. According to the Naturalis Historia of Pliny the Elder, the basilisk is a small snake that is so venomous that it leaves a wide trail of deadly venom in its wake, and its gaze is likewise lethal."

Enough said

Ok who had to mention the Tarrasque? We may as well be counting hit dice *sigh*

Anyway... I trump Tarrasque with an Atropal.:p

Hmmm... I just had a thought.

Can you use handle animal on a tarrasque? Its a magical beast right?

So theoretically you could....

Golem, because unless he trusts you (and he only trusts the tzadik you created him) you can not get close enough to erase the last letter of "emet" on his forehead which holds his power. Unless you erase that, he is unstoppable.
