While We Wait: Part 4

You mean how he never updated your part? I disliked how thlayli kept on updating Europe since by the time he reached Asia, he was too tired to do our parts of the updates

Two updates and a bloody BT. I mean the map didn't even change for most of it! The only thing he mentioned about Malayu was how my army got defeated by a different power than my main enemy.

This is very true, I will edit out my claims in the other thread since they are misleading.

It does not answer however why Civ 3 section still has as many threads active over the last week...

How long do you want me to keep track of how many users are logged in for?

I have been keeping track of this so far although I missed one :p

Dunno really. I am saying a week.. just once or twice a day when your logged in just jot it down. however looking at the rate of movement the descision might have been made before the data is!

Attention, terrorists: you lose. The game is over. Within ten years resistance will be futile.

Yeah because the problem we've been having with terrorists (i.e. their being embedded in a civil population), is solvable by walking robots :D.
Actually, it plays quite a rather large role considering most of the problem we are having is squeamish governments and constituents unhappy with their fathers/brothers/sons/uncles/etc. going off to distant third world countries to fight and die, and most of those poor souls get offed patrolling dangerous areas for bad guys.

The entire purpose of autonomous vehicles (which is why it's funded by DARPA) is to remove people from hazardous situations. Ground vehicles are no different than UCAVs. Put a gun, a self-destruct charge, and a Millimeter radar or acoustic sensor on it and speed it up a bit and send it into bad neighbors. They try and screw with it up close and it blows up and kills them. They shoot at it, it can shoot back and informs the infantry where the assailants are. The less times Johnny Walker gets shot doing mindless and repetitive sweeps of an environment the more apathetic the public becomes and the easier it is to sustain combat operations, and the less edgy troops get playing policeman.

In an urban environment you'd probably rather want something wheeled, but this is good for more difficult terrain and countryside scanning. Like Afghanistan. Or Western Pakistan.

Sweet, but I still think it looks like two men in a "rugby scrum" lock

A machine is still limited, and I can certainly think of some intresting situations to create traps etc with that machine to the terrorists benefit. It has vunrabilities and they will be exploited.

Regardless, amazing advance in Technology! I wonder what its more civilian uses include? (any Ideas?)

Time to first international news photo spread of a child mistakenly shot by such a set up...20 maybe 30 minutes ;)?

It'll be a lot more than 10 years before you can have a robot doing policework...

I imagine its still controlled by a human, its just sentient.. yet

Congrats on 14k Iggy ;) Race me!

Good grief, I didn't even notice. I've reached the point where I don't even feel like finding out which post it was and celebrating.

Maybe only when I hit multiples of 5000 from now on.

However, I did take note when I hit 13337 posts. :p

I posted this early feb.. in ~20 days I posted 1000 times.. :eep:

An now I post this March 18th.. another 1000 posts

You should join Spammers Anonymous or somesuch. ;)

I really need to. Guess its just because I am in a pretty boring phase of life.

See right now I have travelled home to see my parents who i have not seen since Xmas.. but after giving my mum a hug, and a good chat.. there is nothing here for me anymore.. so CFC posting ramps up!

Ladies first I always say.

Cleared out some of my PM's sorry to those trying to contact me!

...for someone who claims to be embarrassed about their spamming, you aren't very convincing.

5 of the last 7 posts are yours. Not to beat a dead horse, but if you didn't double post, you'd look like less of a spammer.

Boots, shush! We were all thinking that, but new if we commented, it would give him the opportunity to spam more.

spam/reply its all the same to me. I double-post for Alex's benefit. Admittedly aswell, at the time, I hadn't reached the 16k. I passed that mark a few hours ago.
