While We Wait: Part 4

I'm of the strong opinion that people you'd learn the basics the character building hard way - learn manual transmission before you're allowed to get into sloppy habits in an automatic. I  python, but unfortuately due to my work I have to hack about with perl all day.

Also I don't actually know how to program in Piet, that'd be silly ;).
Ah. Yeah, I *did* learn how to drive on a manual, though I hate it (it meaning driving) and whenever I do drive it's an automatic (or assisted; as far as I'm concerned they're basically the same, although I know that's not true) it's with a Prius.

As to learning the basics, I started with Java and know some C (am learning more tho despite segfaults all over the place), but Python's definitely my favorite. Also: it could be worse, because instead of Perl you could be writing in this. Worst idea ever.

Do you literally have to write out Romeo and Juliet to get Hello World?
Not exactly. I doubt the line "You are as villainous as the square root of Romeo!" would appear in real Shakespeare. :p

Well I already started university and studying chemistry. It doesn't matter too much for me what I'll learn as long as it has something to do with science or at least work in a lab studying something. Learning and getting paid for it, ha, job of a lifetime.

Well I never went to university and dropped outa college, doing pretty good now though

Worst idea ever.

I see your Shakespeare programming language and raise you Whitespace!

Also can python do this?

A touch, a touch, I do confess! I suppose mentioning Brain. .. .. .. . and lolcode is out of the question...:D

No, Python cannot make an xkcd webcomic. However, it can do this and this. We also have better metasyntactic variables, for whatever that's worth.

Hey eveyone, lets measure Dachspmg's coolness rating rating over the course of this sentance.

We start off here with a 67.3 Microfonzie's
However, it can do

...It then spikes up to 345.0!...

...Before...
..what the douce? the meter's gone dead, not even background coolness being picked up...

We also have better metasyntactic variables, for whatever that's worth.

Oh wait, minor static in the nanofonz range

The above might have been a horrible, horrible faux pas if it were somewhere else and to someone more easily offended.

That said: personally I find that atherosclerosis and/or senility are more pertinent worries in our case. ;)

@Lucky - A bit proud of Dar-al-Islam, I see.

"I was born in 1890, joined the military in 1908, served until 1953. It was around 1960 that I became engaged in poems and won my first gold medal, for rowing no less.........."

If only Bird was that cool. :p

I just felt the need to change my avatar. Plus I love Allah. والله اكبر الثناء على الله الاسلام الى الابد

It is so important to me that I have COMPLETELY changed my support to Hillary, for the 1st time. Unfortunately for her...
It's a good thing you're Canadian too. I'm in favor of opening up the homes of single-issue voters to military target practice, because they've more or less single-handedly ruined the idea of Presidential elections (and are probably one of the chief reasons this country isn't a Democracy, because the Framers were far smarter than we give them credit for). :p
