While We Wait: Part 4

Where is the battlefront right now in the Near East?

Practical advice for everyday life: if you walk around carrying a sword (ideally unsharpened, as then it does not legally qualify as a bladed weapon, and it is clearly not concealed, thus meaning you are likely not breaking local laws [do check first]) no one will question who you are, what you are doing, or why you have it, with the possible exception of law enforcement (who are easily mollified with aforementioned criteria).

Improvised truncheons (like rebar) meet with similar results but are not nearly so cool.

Same could be said for anything... the everyday public don't usually stop and question me.

An how practical is it to carry a blunt sword in broad daylight?

The distinction is that they might, or occasionally will. You will not be asked for the time, you will not be asked for change, and you get to see some really funny expressions.

Rather, unless you're an idiot and lugging a claymore around or something.

Well it isn't hard to believe. People in my town can carry hunting rifles around while shopping.

My brother had one of those unsharpened swords, bought on holiday in Spain I think, about ten years ago. Im not sure what's happened to it now. It was more like a large dagger really. Personally I always wanted some matchlock pistols :)

PS: 'shock and awe' : general 'desert fox' Abaddon storms right across north africa, NESer forces liberate iraq, saudi arabia, egypt, spain, yemen, oman, libya, tunisia and algeria, invade sudan, morocco, prepare to invade persia (iran), suez canal captured, NESer submarines sink dozens of transports and escorts in the atlantic, first destroyers, sea transports and airborne divisions enter the battle...

We need to gain a foothold against America. Invade Venezuela.

Hmm but with only 6 transport ships and 3 destroyers, the combined fleets of the US, UK and allies present something of a problem :)

I've actually only built one airborne division so far :o And the transport planes can only go 500 km :(

I've found that carrying around a big length of rope (as is often my want), especially if one end is tied in a hangmans noose, acheives a similar 'do not disturb' effect ;).

@Daft: How do you make such killer graphics with such killer maps?

What you are seeing is screen shots from a game. However, Dafty does make amazing maps, using some random old art program i believe.

I believe he did make it pretty clear that this is Hearts of Iron 2.

sp1023, it becomes apparent that you don't read the thread (specifically, Daftpanzer's modded HoI2 posts). ;) The game is Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday.

On the topic, I have a problem with my HoI2:Armageddon game: Leonid Brezhnev (Head of State) appears as a Minister of Security in the 1936 campaign as Russia, as well as other mix-ups (a Head of Government in Chief of Army, a Foreign Minister in Chief of Air). Anyone else experienced this?

This is relevant to NESing... uh... because I play HoI2 to... uh... hone my NESing skills...? (as not to derail the thread)

EDIT: Crossposted. >_< It is a PC game.

If it wasn't a PC game.. how TF would he get the maps on here?

Digital camera + TV screen = SUCCESS!

As for the question how would mod it, easy!

Hot needle + microchips = SUCCESS!

...what?

Unless that is the problem you're talking about. ;)
