The idea is good, but it's troubling to see a 50-posts-in account named that fantasizing about a second world war with a fascist outcome.

I won't play in it though. Nothing personal to you, but I really try to keep the number of active NESes down in regards to my participation.

I'd start the NES a little earlier as everyone is suffering crippling war debt so HAS to get peace or collapse

Would anyone be interested in an Alternative Cold War? My idea is the British never rescind their alliance with Japan, and the American recession begins earlier with Calvin Coolidge. Al Smith would then be elected president, denying FDR the chance for his policies to revive the USA. Eventually the USA turns Fascist and together with Italy and Germany, fights the British, French, Soviets, and Japanese, winning WW II, the nes starting at the peace conference to divide the world among the victors

The only problem I have with this idea is that FDR never "revived" the USA from the depression. I will give you that without him people may have turned to more extremist candidates out of desperation because it appeared to the people FDR was effectively combating the recession for some time. Actually, even that may not be true because he did lose lots of support in the Congress and Senate to the Republicans in midterm elections. I have even read that some economists predicted that had both Hoover and FDR not done anything with the economy it probably would have turned around a lot faster. Why would the election of Al Smith stop FDR or an FDR like situation? Al Smith is also a Catholic who were wildly unpopular in large parts of the USA. That is why Kennedy being elected was such a big deal. It probably would lead to an election of Hoover if he chooses to run two elections despite being defeated in the first like Nixon which is possible or someone similar who actually was enacting several programs that were similar to FDRs. FDR actually took several Hoover's programs as a basis and expanded them greatly in his New Deal. The only thing I see you changing is that Hoover is more the hero of the Great Depression rather then FDR. You may even make it so the Republicans become the center-left party and the Democrats the center right . I do not know how to make the USA go fascist but I do not think this scenario would work. I may also be wrong I just see a lot of potential problems but some bigger historian buffs could correct me.

Also in the upcoming wave of fresh start cradle NESes is my MNES starting about 2 to 3 weeks from now, depending on how quickly I get the map done.

It seemed like there were a lot less cradle NESes when I started developing mine in november.......

They seem to come in cycles.

Rules yes, Stats I'm waiting on, because the peace negotiations will have large effects on your industry, stability, if you're still alive, if you're a puppet, ect.

Yes. But negotiations without stats is impossible.. how do we know who is stronger, has the most manpower etc? How happy are the home population etv

I did it after 4, and that worked out okay. I'd give the benefit of the doubt.
