While We Wait....

But its crazy. What would you say if you saw a poster with 1000 posts, yet only being here for half a year? Yet another spammer. Sigh. That would be my reaction.

I don't care about post counts. I don't even usually check the dates people join. I'm one of those non-discriminatory, equal-opportunity people!

I think you two are rare in the whole community. Although, in general I couldn't care less, but wanted to throw in my two cents.

I don't think so. I don't care about my postcount and I don't think any differently about people based on it. As far as I know most people are the same.

Interesting. If that is true, I think postcount should be applied to non-spammy games, in a split outlined previously.

Really? If it's true I would prefer to have postcount abolished completely.

We'd have to be a lot more serious in the threads if post count counted in Forum Games, which is why I'm against it.

I posted this in a different forum as a game. This game will have a game thread, a discussion thread and a few others. This is based on games going on at alternate history.

Rules:

- You will control a nation of Europe, North Africa or the Middle East at 1000AD. It does not have to be an actual nation from history, but if it is not, you will have to post your history, but be realistic. Please try to stay away from the nations like they are in civ.

- You are in complete control, kind of like a Civ game. Don't post only about your military, but also about other important factors that make an empire grow.

- Your claims will be put in via a claims thread that I make.

- No inventing new stuff. That will be handled by a 3rd party.

- After enough people join in, I will create a factbook thread where each person posts facts about their nation. This will have to be approved by an impartial 3rd party.

- Wars will be run via PM to an designated 3rd party. This 3rd party must be announced beforehand so that there are not different people posting different sides of the battle.

- At 1300, I will allow colonies in Africa, also a few non-player states will be formed to interact with. Colonies must be approved by a designated 3rd party

- At 1500, The likewise will happen with the rest of the world.

- Keep any out of game talk in the discussion thread.

Events:
- A designated 3rd party shall be able to allow events to happen to other nations (must be impartial). These include inventions, as well as events like those in Civ.

Diplomacy:
- Here is how you contact a nation in-game. Be sure to bold it to make it stand out.:

To: OTHER NATION
Fr: YOUR NATION

Diplomacy Here

I volunteer to not play to be a 3rd party if there isn't enough 3rd parties, however you can still play if you are a 3rd party, you just don't do events and colonies and 3rd party diplomacy and just do wars (Which is needed more) as long as you are neutral in the conflict. The point here is to keep the game more realistic

What do you think?

Sounds good, but I just scanned it.

How about Imperiam Offtopicium: Space Edition, where you would be colonizing planets and moons and whatnot. The game ends when you build and research a spaceship capible of leaving the solar system.

Ill post it then. It will be called 1000AD - Discussion. Once enough people join Ill make a setup thread and a game thread. Is this ok? (Sorry, never played a forum game at these forums before and I dont know if multiple threads is a good idea.
