Good comment from Martin Brundle on an easy way to make it a bit more exciting - get rid of the blue flag rule so the leaders actually have to overtake the back markers as they would if they were trying to gain track position. In the short term that may offer a solution to the Ferraris disappearing into the distance after the 3rd lap and generate some interesting arguments/fights between drivers like there used to be.
