Who would you bring back from history?

Lucrezia Borgia.

If your "personal reasons" for bringing someone back from the dead are the same as mine, you're a screwy dude.

I'm afraid you would be somewhat disappointed, since the standards of beauty have changed quite a bit since those times.

The hair's kinky and the eyes are kinda weird but I'll run with it. Not really a huge difference really.

Hell, standards of beauty have changed since Monroe, and not for the better.

A puzzling answer. Hypothesizing they actually could understand eachother, wouldn't they have widely differing fields of interest?

One was an Orthodox Neoplatonist and the other was a Lutheran late scholastic with Cartesian overtones, so they had very different approaches, but they were both primarily interested in stating and defending a well-thought-out Christian philosophy using the best intellectual and scientific resources available to them at the time. So really their fields of interest were very similar, but they approached them in wildly different ways, which is why it would be interesting to get them together (I know of only one mention of Gregory of Nyssa in Leibniz' works, which doesn't indicate any real knowledge of him). I don't know if Gregory could speak Latin (I doubt it) but I'm fairly sure that Leibniz knew at least some Greek, so they could probably get by on that front!

Oh, I'd bring back Jesus and Mohammed to show the world what frauds they are.
If you're going to do that, make sure to include; Gautama, Moses, Abraham, and a whole bunch of others.
