1 - Looks too much like a politician, particularly an American one, too conniving.
2 - Can't help thinking there's something behind the smile.
3 - Might be OK but the left eye makes me uncertain.
4 - Looks capable of discussion and understanding the average person; don't suspect Russian mafia in Catalonia. If he's Mafia, we're out of luck.
5 - Appears to be either an intellectual or a successful businessman. Lost the vote because of the possibility of the latter.
6 - Loses points because of perceived youth/inexperience (bad for trust that he could run the government well), and formality of attire.
7 - Looks like a British politician. Better than 1, but still a politician.

1 - Liberal Nationalist (pro-independence). Politician.
2 - Social Democrat/Socialist Worker's Party. Politician.
3 - People's Party of Catalonia (conservative). Lawyer/Politician.
4 - Republican Left of Catalonia (pro-independence). Historian/Politician.
5 - Iniciativa per Catalunya (leftist). Lawyer/Politican.
6 - Citizen's Party. Lawyer/Politician.
7 - Solidaritat per la Independència. Politician.
Well, I'm glad that at least it appears I didn't vote for way-far-out right-winger. There isn't much information that isn't in Catalan or Spanish about several of the candidates, so I don't know a whole lot about some of them, however.

I very nearly voted for 3, but it turns out she's right wing. The horror of my near mistake would have haunted me for the rest of my days.
