I just wanna know why? Why is it that only Nintendo remains pure to its hardcore fan base, while casuals flock to the XBOX and PS3? Why is it Nintendo is the only company to come up with original ideas? Why is it that people who enjoy Xbox 360 and PS3 are either 9 years old or do not have a High School Diploma?

The Sig of the OP suggests a certain bias.

Nintendo shanked your hardcore base with the Wii bro. You are like an abused housewife, unwilling to grip the reality that the semen stain your Nintendo husband left on the rug wont get scrubbed out. You need to throw it out and simply buy a new rug.

I have been on Xbox live a couple times, why is it everyone who talks hasn't hit puperty?

The Wii has become a gimmicky machine that either entertains prepubescents or bored housewives.

Really, the only good games geared toward mature people on the Wii are Mad World, No More Heroes, and maybe Red Steel.

Mature does not equal violent. I volunteer with inner city youth, and all the male children play GTA, Modern Warfare etc, despite being 10 years under age. The kids go for violent games because they think their cool. The only people I know who play Wii are adult males who live on welfare and play games all day (hardcore gamers).

Just because a game is not brown with a ting of red, does not mean it is for kids (if anything its the exact opposite). I know most of you here are nine years old and may be developing high voices, but those "Mature" games are not timeless, unidentifiable from all the other fps, and expendable. I beat Kirby's Epic Yarn today, and I know I will play it again 20 years down the road, because I did for Kirby's Adventure (despite the title they are two very different games), do you honestly think you will play Modern Warfare after a year or two?

But they are cool.

This is all irrelevant anyway. Real men play Starcraft.

But they are cool.

Kirby's Epic Yarn and Mario Galaxy were way cooler than any fps ever produced.

Evidence:
Item 1: Goldeneye
Item 2: Halo
Item 3: Half Life
Item 4: Half Life 2
Item 5: Portal
Item 6: Counterstrike
Item 7: Team Fortress
Item 8: Doom

Evidence complete. Argument refuted. Thread over.

I agree that Mature doesn't necessarily equate to violence. However, each of those games have a basic analysis or human nature, or sexual themes which may be considered for those people who are more mature.

And almost everyone I've seen playing the Wii are either prepubescent boys playing their Mario, Metroid, or Zelda games (which is totally fine, as I played my Gameboy Advance all the time when I was a kid, before I moved onto strategy games when I was 5) or women attracted to the idea of getting exercise playing video games like Wii Sports or Wii Fit.

And most of the games I have played that were truly memorable and replayable were Mature games. The Fallout series (especially 1 and 2), Planescape Torment (which although was rated Teen, dealt with very philosophical issues), Diablo II, the Half-Life series, Company of Heroes, Bioshock, etc.

That's not to say that Nintendo games aren't memorable; it's just that there aren't as many of them.

i play Mario and im not prepubescent

seriously people its about having fun not showing how mature/intelligent you are. If you want to show off how "mature" you are go read a book in a Starbucks

Item 1: Goldeneye (Have you played this today, its not what they call timeless)
Item 2: Halo (Halo invented fps)
Item 3: Half Life (Bad game)
Item 4: Half Life 2 (So bad there will never be a sequal)
Item 5: Portal (This is not a video game)
Item 6: Counterstrike (JAJAJAJAJAJAJA)
Item 7: Team Fortress (9.99$ hats)
Item 8: Doom (This is a really bad game, sorry)

Counter Evidence

Sin and Punishment 2 (If you have never heard of this before you are a casual)
Kirby`s Epic Yarn
Punch Out!!
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Other M
Super Mario Galaxay
Super Mario Galaxay 2
New Super Mario Brothers

Evidence countered, Also notice my selection of games is far more broad genre wise than yours proving that you are a casual.
