Why can't I rush this?

I am extremely mad. I have a great leader, Lenin, in Moscow. I investigated The Hague, and found that they are two turns away from building the Theory of Evolution. Moscow has been building the ToE, but is still seven turn away.

I did not prebuild for it.

I did not chop down forests near Moscow.

I did not disband any units in Moscow.

I have not changed the que at all.

The game will not let me use Lenin to rush the wonder.

When I change the build in St. Petersburg to the Forbidden Palace, I can rush it. However, when I change St. Petersburg to building the ToE, I cannot rush it anymore.

WHY????

If I lose the ToE, I will be forever behind the eight ball in the tech race, France already has three techs on me, and with ToE they will get the costly Combustion and Mass Production techs, and then I'm really screwed.


So why will it not let me rush this wonder?

Well I do not know what Lenin is be it MGL or SGL. I am guessing it is MGL and they cannot rush great wonders in C3C, only small wonders and some other things.

Oh. As you can tell, I don't use MGL for anything other than armies, usually. That, and I haven't rushed since PTW.

That's right; MGLs cannot rush great wonders in C3C. They can rush small wonders and other improvements, but as Cheezy says, most of the time people use them for armies.

(If you play PtW or vanilla then there is only one type of Great Leader and these can rush anything.)
