I've seen it happen. Personally I just see polls as a tool, they wont solve very much on their lonesome....

I don't believe that democracy works very well, and it is the last thing I'd want to see. The moderators do a great job, and I personally have never been disappointed in the way they have handled situations of disagreement. They react swiftly and fairly, and it is usually the person who was being a disruption who is chastised. And that is also usually the same person who then complains, and then breaks several of the clearly stated forum rules to prove their point. Then they get banned or their posts are deleted, and they blame the mods.

You know, it's a lot like real life. People who think they are "victims" usually find out there's a reason for it once they see things a little more clearly.
