WHY was the celtic civilization removed from the game??

Well i think as other have writen in this thread that Celts does have some on the qualities to get into Civ. (They require a place in history as they fought agians rome and germania etc.) But they also lack in some places. Especially after now things such as religion has come into civ4

Think Celts have been thought out becourse they where nomads that dindt settle at one place(afterall thats what civ is about) they dont have much culture as they were more like well fighting barb. with iron weapons. They dind have a religion that is present in civ. This does not rule them out but make them less suideble for civ. And finely and most importen I think There is no more room ind the game for european civs. If there were more room we would possible also see Vikings, dutch, Austing-Hungary(whom where importent part of WW1) And Turks.

Sure many of these civs have enouth to put them into the game, but there simpy is not space for more european civs

Sounds like an opportunity to sell a Civ 4 sequel probably due out in the next 3-6 months. Remember Civ 3 (didn't even have multiplay) then Play the World (with a few more civs added and multiplay feature) then Conquests (with a few more civs and perks added). Given Civs success in the market expect regular expansions. Prepare to dig into your wallet and see more nations, features, and perks it will just be a matter of time.

I think that's far too early. Expansion are (among other things) a marketing tool to respark waning interest in a game. They don't usually come out that soon after the base game. Also, you have to give the developers some time to create the expansion. :)

Civ3 and its two expansions were all released almost exactly one year apart between Nov 2001 and Nov 2003. I think this is the production cycle we can expect from Civ4 also. After all, Oct/Nov is not at all the worst season to release a game.

I would expect to see the Celts in an expansion (along with the Huns, Venetians, etc). Hopefully, when they go to war, we'll actually see them paint themselves blue. :D

If they put in every civ with a possible arguement, there would be over 100. Think of how poor all of the other features would be.
