Will there be a demo before or after the release?

I think the demo is important not just to see the game and get a feel for it, but also to see if the game will run on you're computer, since you cant bring a game back after you open it!!!!!

[offtopic] BTW, I had sideways priest on AOE3 demo also, how can they release something with a bug like that in it, but judgeing from the demo they did a poor job altogether!!!!........

Order online or via mail order. Most places in the US at least have a mandatory 3 day return law for purchases made through the mail or online to prevent fraud. Software opened or not.

That said, I too would appreciate a limited demo. It shows a companies' good regard for it's users. I never buy software or automobiles I cannot test drive first. Regardless I will not be buying until I read many responsible reviews from real life experiences. And definately not until the first patch is released.

With the game moving to a 3D engine a demo MUST be released as there could be too many people not wanting to buy if they like the old 2D graphics too much.

I'm not too struck by the move to 3D from 2D at the moment and until I play it I can't say if I'll love it or not, but if I can play a demo and its cool then I'll be straight into town to buy it. :)

I think the main issue with a demo coming out is that it would take resources away from primary development and I believe they are already pushing to get it done in time for the moved up release date.
