Or a stormtrooper or clone.
Since their suits were pressurized and sealed.

How could they breath. Unless they had some sort of oxygen tanks that they carried around.

Yeah, the droids could survive in a vacuum. Hence General Grevious crashing through the bridge window of that battlecruiser in the beginning of Episode III, and surviving.

So, the droids had a bit of an advantage on that map, which is easy for them even without that advantage.

Anyway, Polis Massa wasn't bad, I just wish that it wasn't noticably one-sided (it wasn't as much as Jabba's Palace, but still), the tanks weren't all AAT's and AAC-1's, and there was more room inside.

Grivious isn't a droid. He even says he isn't a droid in some games and the animated series. He is a cyborg, hence why he coughs. He still has organic parts in his body.

Anywho, I'd like bigger maps with more vehicles. I hope the graphics look really good too.

i think they're going with this instead.
yeah, someone made a thread about that a while ago............well anyway, isn't Radical Entertainment working with Lucasarts on a secret project, which is what sparked all the BF3 rumors in the first place? because Pandemic would be pretty busy making

this
and this

I hope they nerf those ****ing rocket launchers.

really? I thought they were a little underpowered (in BF1 at least)......

Dude, the rocket launchers aren't that powerful. They can't even one-hit most vehicles.

Well everyone watch the Spike TV Video Game Awards on December 14th.
I heard that one of the two secret premiers will be SWBFIII.

Hmm... I'll try to watch.

Awwww man, played Battlefront 2 so much. Coruscant, Polis Blah, and Mustafar were awesome stages. Have a fond memory where I was a sniper in Coruscant playing with my brother. I'm just minding my own business, sniping down enemies and I've found a big group of them together when, all of a sudden, out pops Darth Maul and he massacres them all. And then I accidentally shot him in the head.

Yeah, Mustafar was definately one of the awesome maps. After all, it had lava, and lava makes all things more awesome. :p

But really, it was great. The room in the center always became an all-out slugfest of grenades everywhere.

Coruscant could have been better, though. It was absolutely great for the campaign battle with all the jedi, but it just wasn't as good in Instant Action.

Instant Action Coruscant turned into a game of 'ring around the command posts', because as soon as you captured one the enemy would be capturing others, and you'd end up chasing each other, making CP control itself pointless and militating towards "wander around killing doodz". Not my favorite kind of engagement, so I agree, it sucked.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm............december 14? gonna try see that....

In the more enclosed levels (jabba's palace comes to mind) the splash damage would take out several people at once.

IMO, Battlefront 1 had much better maps. It also had the advantage where, unlike BF2, it was in fact possible to lose.

Maps they should bring back from BF1 to BF2:
Bespin: (both)
Geonosis: Easily beats BF2's Geonosis
Kashyyyk: both
Yavin: Arena
Rhen Var: Both

BF2 Maps they should drop
Dagobah

Geonosis: Easily beats BF2's Geonosis
I disagree. BF1 Geonosis took a really long time as either side - but especially as the Republic - and was far too linear. One CP, then the next, ad infinitum, and oh, oops, we lost one of the random CPs that you captured ages ago that's not even close to the frontline because one friggin droid wandered around in the desert and got to it. It was just a grinding pain in the butt, with little room to do the classic BF1 maneuvering that was so important to battles like Rhen Var: Citadel.

Agreed about Islands, disagree with Docks. Docks is too unbalanced in favor of the CIS/Empire, IMHO (especially the CIS), and battles as them are pretty boring. Only with the Rebels and Republic do things get interesting.

YES. PLEASE. Biggest thing I was missing in BF2.

And for whatever reason, I liked the BF1 version of Kamino better than BF2. The initial phase on Kamino is probably the most intense of any map as the Republic, and the map in general lends itself to fun Jet Trooper antics.
