Hello All,
Kind of a noob question here, but anyway: I have a macbook pro and a while back I partitioned my hard drive and successfully installed Windows 7 on the partition using BootCamp. My hard drive messed up and got corrupted several months later, and I had to get a new hard drive, however, most of my files on both partitions, the Mac OS and the Windows OS, are intact. Obviously to install windows 7 for that partition, I had to purchase a copy of Windows 7, which I still have.
Now, on my new hard drive which is not corrupted/broken, can I install Windows 7 using the same copy of windows 7 I had before the crash? Or am I screwed and have to buy a new copy if I want to have a windows partition?
Thanks for the help. I know I could probably contact M$ about this, but I feel this would be a quicker way to get an answer.
