Heliopolis makes settler, starts settler.
Buy a worker from Iroq.
1200:
Thebes makes settler, starts prebuild for GL (As per orders of the good Dr. Rik

)
1175:
1150:
Chinese discovered Mathematics.
1125:
Memphis makes temple, starts settler.
Germans have mathematics, no trade possible.
1100:
We discovered Literature, starts Mapmaking. I picked Mapmaking because we can pick up all techs from our GL. But Mapmaking allows us to get galleys earlier, more exploration = more cities, more exploration = more $$$ from WM trades. Drop tech rate to 10%.
I will try to hang on to our monopoly on lit to ensure we get enough lead on our Wonder build.
1075:
Pi-Ramesses is founded, starts warrior.
Zulus have discovered Philosophy. Still I do not trade.
1050:
Romans discovered Mapmaking. I cut research completely.
1025:
Buy another worker from Iroq.
I swap Heliopolis settler production to library, we are under aggressive culture pressure (Romans settled nearby).
1000:
Alexandria makes war, starts temple.
Summary
(1) Thebes will riot once it grows (in 3 turns, if you MM). We have 2 choices (a) MM Thebes to work on the mined hill instead of the irrigated game and stop Thebes's growth; or (b) allow Thebes to grow and up lux rate to maintain happiness. I would vote for option (b) because we have no other use for $$$ until we can get to republic. The next player can veto.
(2) Heliopolis will be under aggressive culture pressure (not by much) so I swapped to library. Another alternative is to make a spear to garrison Thebes and allow Thebes to have an extra MP to grow. The next player can veto.
(3) We have a settler in the north, I wanted to found a city where he stands. This city would give us horses (not that we need it but just in case, I don't plan to go to war) and fur.
(4) We are behind in tech, behind by Mapmaking, Philosophy, Mathematics, but we kept our monopoly of Literature. Personally, I would keep our monopoly since our GL will get us the techs in due time.
(5) We should start planning our GA, and since we do not plan to go to war, one possiblilty is Sistine Chapel (Religious) + Hoover (Industrious). I am not familiar with Wonder-induced GA so I hope others (Rik? Wiz?) could enlighten me.
(6) My choice of settler cities had been going after luxuries, we will have fur and spice online soon enough.
