To ESA from CSA (an offer of reunification and the allegiance of Luke Ackerman as Field Marshal under the United Eastern States of America/name of your choosing).

I, Luke Ackerman, have failed in my military campaign. The CSA is not defeated, but yet has failed in securing victory upon the battlefield.
I present this offer to the ESA. The ESA and CSA shall be merged and controlled in a dual-system from Washington D.C. and St. Louis, the President will remain in the White house and the occupied territory will be turned back to the respective ESA states.

The alternative of course is bloody-minded war for as long as I'm in power.
I believe the ESA has the most to profit from such an agreement. The USA will be reestablished, as powerful as it once was.

I hope the people will some day forgive me for launching this cruel war of aggression to unite the North American Continent. Peace and diplomacy should have led the way.

(If you accept JS, then this means allegiance will be turned over to the ESA. I'd like to stay on as a Field Marshal... it'll leave me more time to remember orders, add in good helpings of tactics and strategy (whenever you're on the warpath) and basically kick ass together. It would be interesting. I'll be writing stories to train the troops (in your name and with your loyalty and generals at the top) and stay inactive until we're at war. This is a golden oppertunity to expand the realms of NES'ing. And I don't have the time to backstab you or the motive to be a national leader in this particular NES so it's be great if you accepted my offer of reunification and allegiance.)

The "Knights of the Order of King Solomon" is just a title to create nationalistic fervor. They are supposed to be an elite fighting force loyal only to the king.

Because the Order of King Solomon is an order of Abyssinian knoghthood that goes back to the middle ages (app.). This means that when people here of the rebirth of the unit and there victories it reminds them of the "glory days" of Abyssinia.

Continuation of the President Li Peng’s Journal Entries somehow oblivious to the fact that his entries were being leaked to the Newspaper…

“Never would I believe that the world had fallen so low. It is one thing for dictators and the like to rule countries, but a hereditary monarchy? I swear, the world is getting to be a worse and worse place. Monarchy as an institution in the modern world is doomed to fail, as we Chinese showed the world in 1912 ending 2000 years of Chinese Imperial Rule. Monarchies were perfect for the ancient, classical, and age of empires. But it’s the freaking modern world!!! No dictator in his right mind would declare himself Emperor or King, but after all not all dictators rule a people as great as the Chinese.”

“We’re the most ancient civilization that still exists after all, we led the world in science for over a thousand rules only failing in the end due to the rule of the corrupt Qing monarchs. Monarchy, in the end is doomed, while Republics will stand the test of time. Monarchies and dictatorships do not care about the lives of human beings, the cornerstone of the Republic. Human life is important, precious, and valuable. Monarchs and dictators see human life as nothing but a number, a statistic. They were all wrong. Monarchs can be dethroned by lowly men after all.”

The king stood on a podium in the city square of Axum an adressed a crowd of thousands and media representatives through which he spoke to millions all across his country and the world. He had decided to give this speach to the world at large because he felt that the world at large needed to hear what he had to say. He straightned his back, cleared his throat, and bagan his speach, "To the great and glorious people of Abyssinia. It would appear that the people of the east have seen us, rising out of the ashes, and wish to cast us down. These people, these Chineese, attack us without provocation. They don't even attack us directly, but step around us, scared to look into our faces. I ask the Chineese, the great land of the East, to answer something for me. If the great republic you speak of, a concept by the way which arose in the West by the way, is so great, then how come it brought about the fall of the Earth Federation? I guarentee you that if a strong king had ruled over the Earth Federation, it would not have fallen for the beuracracy (something the Chinese have always seemed fond of) would not have stood in the way of inovation and progress and the terrorists would have been caught. People of the great and gloorious nation of Abyssinia, fabled land of spices and coffee, a land of pleasure and religion. I speak to you now, telling you, do not listen to this Chineese antagonist. The Chineese people, it is very true, are a great nation of rice and silk to rival any other, but you must not listen to this Li Peng who knows not how to by kind, and also knows not how to be brave. Thank you for listening, people of Abyssinia, and let the lord almighty bless your names and homes." He looked out at the people more closely now to see they reaction as his words sank in. He then waved to the assembled throng and turned around to go to the car waiting to take him to the palace. he had been advised by his councelors not to go out in public like this, as there could be any number of Ugandan and Somali antagonists in the crowds. But he knew nothing would happen, and he knew that being seen out in the middle of the crowd, unafraid for his life, would give his people the boost they needed, and increase his position in world affairs. Meanwhile, he needed to plan a more democratic system of succesion that would keep the Solomonic dynasty in place, but would allow the people to fell like they had more power over who their leader was. As the car pulled away he looked out his window to see people still standing there, applauding, for the leader, waiting for him to leave their sight before going home.

President Li Peng continues to write in his journal...

“The Abyssinian King is mad. I am under the impression that he’s a deranged lunatic as well as a spymaster. It was quite obvious I was pointing at the Christian Monarchs of Europe during the Crusades, Inquisition, and the later Wars of Religion. Wars that shattered a continent and led to the Enlightenment and Golden Age of European culture and literature, indeed showing in the end that religion must be liberalized and granted freedom and separation from state.”

“Yet what disturbs me most is how he seems to be able to read my journal entries… Perhaps the insidious King has spies within my own household? Planted spying gears in my own room? Never the less, I have moved to another room of my home to write my journal due to the fears of spies. For myself I will have to enlighten the King who is reaching senility before it is due. It is well known to anyone of education, even sub-standard, that Kings do not do everything and rely on other people, mainly bureaucrats to carry out their orders.”

“What strikes me the most odd is that he talks to his people like they could even read my journal as in the unlikely event that there are spies in my household since I believe most people in Abyssinia do not know how to speak or read Chinese writing. The more I think about it, the more I think he’s deranged. The Chinese Ambassador told me the other day over the radio laughing most of the time was how the King of Abyssinia summoned a media conference to address his people and the world! He must surely not know that a country requires satellites to broadcast TV waves to the rest of the world something that had been lose when the World Government fell.”

“Yes, the Abyssinian King is a lunatic, I can accept that. Sure he can read journals hundreds of miles away but I could live with that. What I can’t understand is how he insults China and our people off the tip of his tongue. Mocking our traditions that predate his entire country and has lasted up until now, more then two times the length of his country! China has been ruled by strong states 1800 years before any such country rose in Ethiopia! Then he destroys all forms of diplomatic courtesy and resolves to common insults! Yes politicians during election time always insult each other, but after election for a leader of a sovereign country to mock another leader without even knowing anything?”

“Heh that self arrogant King is mad. He wasn’t the one who was the Head of the Police of Guangdong Province, a country with nearly twice the population and much better well armed opponents then Ethiopia. I fought on the streets for a few years before I got the knuckleheads who ruled territory around me to actually meet at the bargaining table leading to the establishment of the Republic.”

“I personally have nothing against anyone of any religions, but King Menelik III is a Jewish Fanatic. I find it quite difficult to understand how a country with only 3% Jews could have a Jewish Ruler, who publicly supports Judaism and calls for people to convert! There goes all the work of reformers calling for separation of Church and State! A government should not be biased towards any group of the people it governs, but Menelik drives me insane! The Knights of the Order of King Solomon! It completely overrides the separation of Church and State! Africa is plainly going back to the Middle Ages, and I for one would actually care less. Let the Ethiopian fool of a King continue to destroy all balance of church and state, I don’t care.”

'Apparently the honorable leader of the wise Chineese people has lost all sense. Also, it is clear that he does not understand anything of Abyssinian culture or history. They do not realize that Abyssinia has been a united country since 1,000 BCE, and has never been conquered but for a brief period of occupation (not actually being conquered as the war was still going on) by Italians. Mr. Li Peng also seems to be tottaly unknowledgeable about the fact that his journal entries are being leaked to the Chineese press, and that there are such things as newspapers, circulated throughout the world, that can report the news. I am groing very tired of this man blatently insulting my nation and myself. Does he not realize that there is total freedom of religion in Abyssinia, even if there is an official religion? This is much more than can be said about many Muslim countries, and yet Mr. Peng does not critticize them. In addition to this, he does not seem to understand the imense power of African warlords. For, as any African knows, these warlords have always existed and thus know there craft much better than any others. It is now obvious that Mr. Peng growing senile and unable to take into account various factors, or even remember that he insulted Abyssinia without even the descensy to do it outright. This is all very tiering.' The king rebued his temples in exasperation. The thoughts continued to race through his head, but he had other things to do. "Secretary, I'm going to give you a memo," the king began writing all his thoughts down, "I want it printed in as many newspapers as possible. Oh, and could you have someone run down to Mibanbebe's? I really could use some roast lamb."

“I must confess that the attitudes and mental capabilities of some leaders of the rest of the world at times dishearten me. Since the Abyssinian King is a spoilsport and ruined the charm in these journal entries by pointing out the obvious as telling me, the leader of the Democratic Republic of China that my personal journal entries had been given to the newspapers I will of course return the favor. Even though, the Abyssinian King is a very straight forward man even if he lacks style, something that must be given as credit to him.”

“It is a shame of course, that the current King of Abyssinia does not know his own country’s history. Back in the days of 21st Century, the Chinese People would look back at their own history and see the glory and lackluster of their days. They would say China has 5000 years of history behind it, a fact not yet proven by historians, but never less believed in by Chinese people. But of course, Kings do not need to know their country’s history, that’s why he has all those servants for right? It is thus safe to assume all the King’s servants are also clueless about their history.”

“History and evidence points that the first central Kingdom in what is known today as Abyssinia rose in the First Century AD a fact acknowledged by all major historians of the present world (internet sites and etc). Of course, Kings of such great prestige must be excused to knowing something as difficult as the founding of his nation. And then again he does claim that the African Warlords have immense power and have always existed once more pointing out his obvious ignorance of his own continent’s history something called the Age of Imperialism where the large majority of Africa with a few exceptions were all brought under European control.”

“That must make one wonder, if the African Warlords have immense power and have always existed did the Age of Imperialism never take place? Ahh, I feel the call of old age and I do look forward to it. I served my country 4 years as a policemen on the streets, 6 years as Head of Police, another 5 as Warlord of Guangdong, and another 16 years as President of the Democratic Republic of China. I plan on resigning in another 4 enjoying the life of a carefree private citizen.”

“And to the of course the accusations by a well known person that I do not even have the decency to insult Abyssinia is rubbish. I have the utmost respect for all the sovereign independent people in the world, but of course that does not apply to the rulers of a country.”

“To put it plainly (for once) the Abyssinian People and nation are great and wonderful being unique as every other country and people are however their Monarch is an arrogant and ignorant man insisting to showing the world his vices. He does particularly enjoy pointing out the obvious of course as well.”

My humble admiration to the leader of the USA. You of course will be in charge and I will take a role as a loyal general. [Deleted loyalty rant... was choked with excessive emotions or whatever.] I request that most politicians and military leaders in the CSA retain their respective positions and that the top officials only be slightly demoted or shifted sideways in order to avoid popular dissent with my last decision as President of the CSA.

PS. A copy of the last CSA orders while a merger is completed will be sent to you. [Grow economy and merge with the USA with the capital in Washington D.C. you/The previous ESA president as president of the USA and my relegated to the position of a general.]

People of the CSA! Half a year from this day on when normality has been reestablished the CSA shall merge with the ESA. There will be few differences from the current regime, the USA that will emerge will be even more powerful and prosperous then our two nations combined as it was in the past.
The only notable differences will be a change of national capitals from St. Louis to Washington D.C. with the incumbant President remaining in charge. All Congress and Senate politicians will retain their jobs and Government will focus on making the change as smooth as possible before continueing their careers as politicians in the USA (with the oppertunity to take your careers even higher up then before!) given or extensive retirement packages as a way of apology for those of us who are nationalist and refuse to see the brilliance of this merging.

Is is certainly better then bloodshed, stalemate and blockade. It is the future as it was the past. I and all the forces that yearn for the greatness that the States of America behold shall see it happen.
