Japanese Restoration
In Japan, the emperor has been returned to position of head of state. A constitution similar to that of the 1889 version was passed by the militarily controlled government. Takoya Yamita has retained control along with the rest of the war cabinet with a similar situation to that of Japan in the first half of the 20th century The ending of the remembrance project by the Japanese has increased belief in the Emperors abilities along with national loyalty and education. The government has spent large amount of money into media and advertising the new emperor. This has increased confidence in the government. The Japanese have also upped their military to replace loses from the Korean war. Surprisingly this included 60,000 Korean soldiers.
New emperor waves to his adoring public.
Chinese War!
Early July saw the launch of a major military operation in China. The Democratic Republic of China launched a full scale invasion of the Republic of Shanghai. Nearly a quarter of the Shanghai army had already been posted on alert on the border, and a majority of the air force was preparing for a strike. On July 14th, the DRoC began a massive air campaign against their northern foes. Radar quickly spotted the oncoming force, and fighters and interceptors were scrambled. SAM and AA sites came to full operation. What came next was near slaughter. In several hours, half the DRoCs air force had been knocked out of the sky. Without air cover, the land attack was forced to proceed.
The Shanghai army , better trained, was able to put up a large fight. Defenses fell back centered around Changsha. From there two DRoC armies rushed to crush it. By early August the battle fro Changsha had begun. DRoC and Shanghai forces evenly matched with about 200,000 men each. The Shanghai forces however held the key of land, air and training. Combined the repulsed both the offensive on Changsha by mid-August along with an advance on the province of Sichuan. The Shanghai forces counter attacked, retaking cities they abandoned earlier to regroup at Changsha. By late August, DRoC was in full retreat back to the border.
It was at this time however that the Peoples Republic of China decided to launch its invasion of Shanghai. With nearly 3/4 of the army 90% of the air force fighting against DRoC, the initial invasion went smoothly. Communist paratroopers secured several airfields and key positions calling in air strikes and setting up for the large scale invasion. The first week of September saw communist forces advancing in the east with minor resistance.
Shanghai forces quickly scrambled to meet the advancing communist forces. After bitter fighting throughout September that front had been halted by Shanghai forces as well. Since October fighting has been driven to minor battles and skirmishes with Shanghai air pressed to battle the remains of the DRoC air force and the PRoC air force. Artillery in the last 3 months alone has accounted for an estimated 50,000 deaths total, 1/6 the wars losses. Analysts estimate that Shanghai will not be able to hold out against a major offensive in north and south without foreign aid.

Middle East
Mecca Bombed, Arabian War Ends!
The war continued to stagnate in Arabia until mid-August when the UAE decided to turn to drastic measures. Calling on the small amount of Christians in their air force, they ordered them to bomb Mecca to the ground. They succeeded in damaging much, leveling the city with a crater lying not but 150 meters from the Kaaba. The Muslim world was shocked. Quickly hey rose in arms against the UAE. Even though the UAEs own military quickly replaced the government in a swift coup the damage was too late. Forces from ISCA, both Iraqs, Iran, Egypt, Syria, and Turkey. Riots erupted in the streets of the UAE. Within two weeks the war was over and the UAE fully collapsed. In its place Saudi forces have occupied it along with a token portion to Iran and the island of Socotra to the ISCA.

Abyssinia situation spreads
Abyssinia has sent its entire military efforts into ending the Ugandan revolt. Unfortunately powerful warlords sent tens of thousands of troops into the area in a joint-effort to form a new Ugandan nation. Meeting the 200,000 soldiers sent to Uganda was a force of nearly 120,000. Guerilla warfare has caused bleak results for the Abyssinian forces. Although technically pushing the rebellion back and occupying 2/3 of the land that was there, guerillas still operate in lands formerly in revolt. The revolt has also spread into Kenya which has taken little steps to end it. The Somali revolt which saw little action has swelled with ten of thousands of mujahadeen and extremist Muslims heading to it from other parts of Abyssinia. A large section of former Somalia is now in open revolt with a force nearly equal to half that of the Abyssinian army.
(Abyssinia: -25,000 infantry, -50 MBT, -100 artillery, -5 fighters, -500 Knights)
Africa
Malawi defeated
The combined efforts by air, land and sea(lake) have seen the fall of Malawi to South African forces. The Malawi forces prepared for the defense of their last major city. South African forces pushed through light partisan forces straight to it. For a month and a half through August and September, South African forces fought house to house, room by room in the streets. The Malawi forces however running low on food, supplies, ammunition and men finally surrendered. What remained of the once 60,000 strong force had dwindled to just 11,000 by late September. However in Malawis place three new nation states have rose. Zambia has risen just west of Malawi, occupying some of its lands. Angola has also risen further to the west on the Atlantic coast and Madagascar has formed together after the invasion by Australia and the defeat of Malawi. The economic cost of the war has downplayed the economic growth received by the finished industrial project by just +1. (Ooc: really gained 2, but lost one from war.)

Baltic War!
The Baltic war has continued at a frantic pace. Firstly let us travel to Scandinavia. Here both sides have begun digging in for a slugfest. None came. Russian control over the region has been expanding as Russian troops replace old police and regional leaders with their own. The real fighting is occurring elsewhere.
In the Baltic, both forces were preparing to launch an attack against one another. It was the NEF here that launched first. Although outnumbered, the Russians employed armor where the NEF provided none. NEF bombers sent to join the operation were torn to shreds by Russian interceptors. The NEF operation here however continued to St. Petersburg where they were repulsed by the Russians in late October. The front here has stabilized since early November with the oncoming of winter. Baltic forces were no where to be seen in the attack, all preparing defense of the remains of their nation.
In Poland, it was the Russians who succeeded in launching an attack first. This attack, much like the NEF attack into the Baltic suffered the loss of air control after the first couple days. Outnumbering Russian planes 4-1 did not help the Russian advance at all. The NEF counter-attack consisted of 10 armored divisions, striking the Russians back into Belarus and Ukraine. The large armored assault bogged down with the coming of autumn rains and mud. From here winter ceased the advance. The front here has too, more or less stabilized.
Another battle occurred in Baltic itself. Russian ships were sent out to destroy the NEF navy, meanwhile the NEF navy was sent to hunt out the Russian navy. The first engagement occurred off of Sweden as 3 NEF ships were sunk by submarines. Russian naval training and tactic prevailed as their ships led NEF ships into several submarine ambushes. The NEF has lost roughly 1/3 of its naval forces in the attempt to route out the Russians. The Russian meanwhile have only lost 1/5 of their navy.
Russian military losses have been high and their air force has been crippled to next to nothing. NEF economic strength has allowed them to continue the war, replacing more losses than the Russians can cope with.

NEF: -74,000 infantry, -200 MBT, -200 Artillery, -80 fighters, -30 interceptors, -40 bombers -20 ships)
Americas
United States refounded!
A surprising twist of events played out I nearly August as the Central and Eastern States of America agreed to join together to form a United States of America. The new government has placed most of the power in the hands of the former ESA before new elections are called next November. However trouble began to brew almost immediately. The majority of CSA military elements declared they would not throw down their arms. Civilian began to riot across the majority of CSA cities. In CSA Canada, Canadian elements began a rebellion with the desire to join their eastern neighbors in Canada. PSA forces not recognizing the new USA, launched attacks into CSA rebellion lands as they agreed with the ESA back in July to launch war against the CSA. Rebellions have grown across the Carribean as rebel leaders take the other rebellions in the USA as excellent time to strike. Three rebellions are now within the USA -> CSA nationals located throughout former CSA, Canadian nationals in Canada and Caribbean nations throughout the Caribbeans.
