The Eiffel Tower seems to come at just the time I need it most games. i.e. when I'm beginning to have happiness issues. Usually at the time it comes out I'm puppetting regularly, so the extra :) is very handy!
The Pyramids tend to be fairly useless, as by the time they are available, I already have enough Workers, and 2 more just cost extra maintenance. I have also noticed, that the AI don't seem to go for them as often as they used to as well.

Ok I'll be the one terminating H castle.
Sistine chapel is too low here, as it is one of the only cultural wonder that are worth it (along with the oracle) for a cultural victory. It can add up to a great number of turn saved, and doesn't come as late as the other good cultural wonder.

I never built the neuschwanstein castle because I'm not a big fan of walls/castles, but you guys got me really interested in this wonder. I might build it next time.

Quite a comeback for Neuschwanstein Castle, its on 20 now when it was on 8 a few pages back.

20 wonders left, maybe its time to go for +1 -3 votes soon.

Getting tougher now to identify what wonders to vote on.

Stonehenge - from the remaining wonders I believe Stonehenge to be the least useful. I can pursue religion just fine with out it.

Neuschwanstein Castle - I still believe that, with right side honor, this is the best wonder for the time investment building it.

Once again having three-four promotion units can not be underestimated. Brandenburg gives you subs in multi that can one hit nearly any ship (built in a high production city and subs are easier to build), battleships with 4 range right off the bat, frigates with 3, Bombers with either 2 attacks or a heal per turn. And if you have a heal per turn + faith healers its game for anyone and anything in your path.

The 2 weakest wonders left in my mind are still Neuschwanstein and Big Ben.

The hanging gardens is on a bad place at the techtree and the ai loves it. But it's still one of my favourites. Food is very important because you can assing extra citizens to specialists or miners.

I never build castles so Neuschwanstein Castle is useless.

By the time Brandenburg Gate appears I rarely build more units, so it is pretty useless

The Eiffel tower on the other hand, seems to come available just at the right time and can give a very high dose of hapiness.

New rules for a new day:
After the release of Gods and Kings some Wonder and their usefulness have changed, so I want to introduce a new Elimination Thread. Each Wonder starts with 20 points.
How to vote:
Copy the list from the last post and give the wonder you like +1 point - and mark green, the wonder you dislike most -3 and mark red . Please give reasons and please vote only once within 24 hours.

A wonder that hits 0 points or below is elimminated and please deleate it from the list you copy.

PLEASE DO NOT QUOTE WHEN YOU VOTE, AS VOTES ARE NOT RECOGNISED AS VOTES SOMETIMES!!! THANK YOU!!!!

I upvoted the Hubs cause it's pure awesomesauce and I always get it before the AI. It's nice to get those two Great Scientists so I can grab some new techs fast.

Downvoted the Stonehenge becuase it's one of those super early wonders that:
A) The AI grabs before me
B) It isn't powerful enough to justify one of my crucial early game production slots but I still feel obligated to try for because it is a wonder after all

The Pyramids help you grow fast with your two worker, and the improved worker efficiency, but I feel that the actual build time to create The Pyramids nerf it considerably since the time taken to build something meant to help you grow fast could have been used to actually grow fast.

Stonehenge is great because religion can be so versatile, and it gives a non-religious civ a chance to compete on the religion state if they choose to do so.

Stonehenge secures me a religion on immortal + another wonder thanks to the great engineer point.
Hubble? What's Hubble? I never come so far in the game.

Hubble? What's Hubble? I never come so far in the game.

Quit the Hubble Hate.;)

This is the Hubble Space Telescope in real life:
hubble-395.jpg

And this is but one example of the kinds of pictures it has taken of the cosmos:
Hubble_20th.jpg

It has uncovered many marvels of the universe for us to behold. The pictures it takes are breathtaking and have led to many scientific advancements in the understanding of the make up of our universe and how it works. It's construction and history are also quite fascinating as well. The satellite was originally launched with a main mirror that was mishapen by mere micrometers. Because of this tiny flaw, for the first few years the images it produced were blurry and not nearly as good as intended.

A few years later, NASA launched a space shuttle mission with the goal of fixing it. Over the course of a few spacewalks, astronauts were able to open the satellite up and replace the faulty mirror and other equipment. It was the first time a satellite had been serviced on-orbit. The HST has been fixed and upgraded a few other times over the years. It's an engineering marvel, it truly is and it deserves a spot on the wonders of the world list. (The top spot in my opinion if you couldn't tell)

In the game, building it provides you with TWO Great Scientists and it also boosts production of Spaceship Parts and I think it also provides a science boost to the city it's built in. It's pure awesomesauce, just like the real thing.
