If you do have many sea resources, building it will delay the extra food and hammers you would get from a normal Lighthouse by a significant amount of turns, which makes it cost even more. And on water maps, the AI goes for it early anyway.

Great Mosque of D'jenne - 04 There are too many religious wonders at this time period. Religion makes you so far behind early game, these wonders are just you asking to be even further behind in the tech/food/production race.

Pyramids is a good wonder. It doesn't cost that much more than two workers, plus it improves worker speed all game long and provides an early great engineer point.

Himeji Castle is not so good. The only time I would maybe want to build this is in a domination game to make sure my target doesn't build it. On the other hand, I could just build more military units, let them build this, then go kill them.

Pyramids- 19 kind of surprised this is getting voted down. It only costs 45 hammers if you subtract what you would've spent on the workers. It gives a GE point which is really nice to have early on. You also won't be competing with wonderspamming Tradition civs for it which makes it much less of a gamble than a lot of the other early wonders. Super workers ftw :)
Sistine Chapel- 25
Statue Of Liberty- 23
Stonehenge- 22
Sydney Opera House- 18
Temple of Artemis - 19 It's a pain in the neck to get this because of the early tech. AIs can ignore infrastructure to build it because of their bonuses but humans rarely can. It's benefits are ok but just not really worth the risk of trying to build a wonder so early.

Alhambra- 18 difficult to get, definitely not bonuses worth the production in my book

Die, Great Mosque. Seriously, at the same tech I can build Haghia Sophia for free Great Prophet (4x religion spread) or Borobudur for three missionaries (6x weaker religion spread), so why should I build Djenne for this one more religion spread of missionaries... Which by the way are not very effective... And while buying all these guys for faith to recompensate for insta effects of HS and Borobudur will take few long turns... And while building HS or Borobudur would let on saving faith on Pagodas/Holy Warriors - oh jest go away, Djenne :p

Petra, my favourited wonder by far. I love deserts in this game (to be honest I don't know why) and I love power of this wonder.

Neuschwanstein +1. Requires a mountain and castles but man...the bonus is unbelievable. It is a must for Domination Victory.

Great Lighthouse - 3. Unless I am in a archipelago map I never build it. Better things around the same time to build.

Eliminating Great Lighthouse. It is fun to get as England for the lolz, but even then you usually don't get a chance to build it - just take it off whoever did with your Ships of the Line.

Pyramids does not bankrupt you. You are going to be building/buying/capturing at least 5 or so workers anyway even if you are doing 4-city liberty. If anything Pyramids is saving you money by making your workers more effective.

Chichen Itza is one of the best wonders in the game. Longer golden ages are extremely useful for any victory condition. The extra happiness icing on the cake.
Too many hammers needed for Stonehenge at a time when there are a billion things to be building instead.
And frankly, religion only works well when you have terrain that can generate faith.
Not a lot of point to spend all that time just to get +5faith unless on a very low difficulty.
