And on TFs birthday!!

I'm pretty sure we don't even use Battleships anymore. Unless that isn't an American ship.

No you don't although the Iowa-class could easily be put into useful service very quickly, and they very well might be for command purposes.

Current vehicles available to swedish ground forces:

Best, and most technologically advanced fighter in the world -- The F-22:

F22.jpg

SSBN-726 Ohio-Class Sub. Can carry 24 Trident 1 and 2 missiles, each equipped with up to 12 nuclear weapons. These independent nukes can be released from the missile and pointed to targets in the immediate range from space.

Also, the GAU-2B/A, equipped on most US Air Force fighters, can get away with one shot per 1/100 of a second, which gets it to around 6,000 rounds per minute.

EDIT: >>>>>>>>> And here is a pic of the Trident.
Look how large it is compared to the person in the first photo.

I've allways wondered if those saw any action, and if so, how well did they do?

They entered somewhat late, due to engine shortages and modifications.
But carried massive firepower, enough to kill a B17 or P51 with ease.

It could outrun Allied planes by about 100mph.
Many got pounced landing and taking off, the only way to take them down in the sky.

A primitive jet by all standards, but as one US bomber veteran said:

"If they had introduced the Me262 a year earlier, we would have still won
the war in the air, but we could have held B-17 crew reunions in a phone booth."

And the oil shortage had its impact on their effectiveness as well, did it not? I also think Hitler made some outrageous order at some point that they were to be used solely as bomber planes, wasting their capacity even more.

You know, I always considered the general layout of the US B2 Spirit
to be ripped off from another captured German design, the Gotha 229!

Take a look!

A lack of specialied components for engines was a main cause too.
There was actually a useful amount of chemical-type fuels for these jets - Up to a point.

Hitler's meddling was also idiotic, the Germans had this war-winning design in 1942-43, and wasted the chance.

Actually Heinkel had a an early jet ready in 1939 - But the Luftwaffe foolishly scoffed at it.
