Man, quordle is hard. Yesterday I gave it a shot playing as I would wordle in hard mode. Not a good idea. Got three. Today I went for a couple of eliminate common letter words first, but got unlucky with chasing down the specific consonants. Still ended up with three.

Yeah.

I just made 3 practice attempts, failing the first two (both with one word still unsolved after 9 guesses). Finally won with this one

So far I've managed to win all three daily quordle puzzles I've tried. Yesterday took all 9 guesses, but today took only 7 as one of my first three letter-gathering words happened to be one of the answers.

How would you even go about trying to play it like wordle in hard mode? Pick a particular word to try to find first, and then go on to the next word? I'd get nowhere fast.

Think I might now have got a handle on solving Quordle, though: I found all 4 words in 7 guesses today, despite the last one being pretty obscure (to me).

(My previous guesses/solves had shown that there was really only one plausible solution, but I didn't recognise the word: I felt compelled to look it up before trying it, just to make sure it was real!)

Today's Wordle took me 3, because I'm an idiot who got 4 yellows on the first word and proceeded to move one letter and not the other three thinking "NAILED IT"

I made the same mistake yesterday while also using weird early words, got it in 6
But today was a birdie. Had all the clues from the first guess, but had to stare at it for quite some time.

I think the first word is best as kind of a crapshoot. If it’s covering too many bases you can’t narrow it enough until 3 or 4.

I guess any posts after those times are fair game. I will continue to do Wordle as my wake-up activity and maybe avoid spoilers starting in the afternoon

I'm really going to stand by 'kapow' being my second word.

I think it literally cheers me up.

I really focus on getting it in five, because I choose four as carefully as I can to literally confirm/deny as many hypotheses I can think of from 3. The answer is too usually a common word, but I don't let that stop me.

I do not play the game, but is not a word with one letter repeated 3 times not obviously an uninformative guess?
