Not necessarily. If you've eliminated all other 4 vowels, you'll often need to figure if one of them is present more than once. For that, I think TEPEE is actually quite useful. I wouldn't go for it in one of my first guesses, obviously.
Yeah, I open with ADIEU to determine the vowels. If none are in an OO word makes the most sense.
Spoiler Abserdle question :Today ADIEU was all grey, so I went with ROOST. In retrospect BOOTH would be fractionally better.
If you open Abserdle with ADIEU there is a yellow A. Any ideas why?
Its more like, will it even accept tepee? And what will it look like when there are more E’s in my word than an all E-voweled word?I do not play the game, but is not a word with one letter repeated 3 times not obviously an uninformative guess?

It won’t let youJust try to guess "EEEEE" and see what happens
That’s weird I’ve played that word 3 times, twice on one wordle
Thursday, 5 attempts. What a mess!
For the second line I was trying to write something else but only realised as I was typing that the one I wanted was a 6 letter word. I pressed "enter" anyway and the word was accepted.
I was stuck for a long time trying to figure out a word for the fourth line. Couldn't so I had to repeat a grey letter already used. After that the correct answer was obvious.

Cancel culture!!!After transfer to the NYT the word list has been modified, and some have been removed. "Penis" is on that list (the only other I remember is "slave").
Here's another one, https://www.heardle.app/, a guess-the-song-from-the-first-seconds game. Each failed guess/pass adds a second of playback, so it's strictly a recognition game I don't see how logic would help. Warning today's clue is very quiet for just for the first second of play.
