World 2008 development thread.

Hey guys. I'll start coding the civics, but I'm not sure where the BTS civic files are located. Can you help me?
 
Bahmo, have you thougt about religion civics already?
Concerning the religion/ideology/culture group suggestion i thought of the following:

Segregation High Upkeep, +1 :hammers: per non state culture group (nscg), +1 :mad: per nscg

Sense of Mission or Messianism High Upkeep, +50% :culture: in all cities with state culture group, Can build "missionaries" without monastery (or equivalent building), +1 :mad: per nscg

Leitkultur Low Upkeep, Cities with state culture group construct buildings 25% faster, +1 free specialist per city, +1 :mad: per nscg

Ethnic Nationalism No upkeep, +2 xp points in cities with state culture group, can do "ethnic cleansing", +2 :mad: per nscg

Pacifism No upkeep, +100% :gp: birth rate in cities with state culture group, +1 gold support cost per military unit

and something for the late game:
Multiculturalism Requires tech "Integration", High upkeep, No state culture group, +1 :) per culture group in a city, +10% :science: in all cities


Note: "Leitkultur" is a German term, controversically discussed in the last few years. There is no English word for it and all English sources use the German word so I left it untranslated. It basically means a monocultural vision of a society with ideas of cultural superiority of the own culture. Nevertheless there is certain superficial tolerance toward foreign cultures but their assimilation is compulsory. This would be the civic that applies to most western nation states as long as they aren't Messianistic and aggressively trying to spread western culture around the world.
 
I have an idea, what if we scrap religion which, in my opinion, isn't universal and replace it with the civic category of Society. This way, in a world half consumed by Free Religion, there are more options that are more universal because religion is dependant on the religions.

Ochlacracy: Is a society uninfluenced by the government, usually forming mobs and gangs within the nation.

Low Upkeep.

Plutocracy: Is run by the rich and those whom aren’t rich are workers or do little jobs.

Low Upkeep, +20% :gold: in all cities, +1 :mad: in capital if losing gold.

Theocracy: A citizenry run by priests who claim to hold the divine rule.

Medium Upkeep, can build "missionaries" without monastery, cities with state :religion: construct building and units 15% faster

Conformity: Is when the government is constantly trying to influence the people to believe what they believe through any way; propaganda, secret police, lies and empty promises.

High Upkeep, +10% research in all cities, -30% war :mad:, -25% :gp: birth rate

Free Religion: You can do whatever you want as long as you’re not disobeying any laws.

Low Upkeep, +1 :) per religion in a city, no state religion, 100% :gp: birth rate.

I didn't have the time to read all of the posts so if there are any adjustments you want to make, from other aditions made, by all means go ahead.
