[GS] World Builder Map Won't Load at Start Up

Hi,

I've been trying to create my own pangaea map because I'm never happy with the one I spawn on. I tried modding a random map but when I try load it (in an actual game, not in the world builder) it won't load and gives the error message "error: one or more of the start up scripts has an error. See LUA log". I have no mods installed.

Would anyone have any idea what the problem is?

(Full disclosure I actually asked this already in the general discussions but, in retrospect I should have put it here instead; sorry about that)

PS I also created a second map and the only amendment I made was selecting a start location for the player and I got the same error. This is to spite me selecting the EXACT hex that it spawned me on when I started on the same map

Short answer World Builder is one big bug but maybe @Gedemon will see this and give you the long answer and point you to the torturous path you need to load your maps

How many start positions on your map ?

And does it match how many civs+CS you setup for when launching your game ?

Hi,

I've tried assigning just one (mine) and a full 12 (it's a huge map so 12 seemed right) with no city states (I would like to add them later but ruling out variables at the moment) when I select the map I only change the number of CS to 0. I leave every other setting as is
