World Conquest Endgame

I have the AI down to one city with no troops and one of my howitzers ready to move in.

Should I go ahead and conquer, or should I keep it as a pet city for a while and crank up the luxuries, build attitude improvements, etc.?

That depends on whether you're playing the game for fun or for a highscore...

If you're going for the score, the most important thing is to get your population to about 320 million and as happy as possible (and land a full-sized spaceship, research future techs, build all wonders and get no pollution).
