Why pick a weapon that's only been used twice, to bring a swift end to a single brutal war?

I think the Indulgence is the worst invention of mankind. Medieval swindlers would completely ruin faithful people's fortunes with superstitions not found in the Bible (which most people weren't allowed to read anyway)

It all depends on the way it is used. Same with ideologies, religion, etc.
