Well, you did pretty well, considering the... unfortunate circumstances. Congratulations on almost winning the worst start ever. ;)

@Light-Giver:
That is the worst starting position possible, I think, but it's not a random map and thus ineligible. That would still make for a, shall we say, challenging game, though.

How do I do that?

Oh my god I'm drooling at the sight of that start. Seriously. I must play it.

To post a save, scroll down on the posting screen and you'll see a button that says manage attachments. It's pretty self explanatory from there.

lol! I could win that map easy on Diety vs everysingle aggressive and backstabing AI in the game.

The easiest win would be domination without actually attacking anyone whatsoever.

Just use WB XD

sry it was 1 of them games when you had a bad start and soon restarted and didnt save, so i cant post that, but if you want just take out the world map and place yourself over the top middle of siberia.

I should of saved it for no one could toch you, i got civ vanilia so i dont need to wory about para troupers

but its a horible start for that AI cause he has only 1 production square that produces no food so the pop will not go beyond 1

Nah, that's nothing - add a few more tiled layers of ice around that start... and then I'll be impressed.

I got a one island start too!

I did Custom Continents, 6 teams, one continent per team. I was hoping to get my own land mass so I could grow without being bothered. (I'm a pretty peaceful builder.) and I got THIS!

At least I got a lot of fish and crabs, and land within sight. I'm playing as Roosevelt. I think I'll give it a shot. :crazyeye:

I remember in civ 2, playing on maps where I started on the polar ice shelf... and played through it! Wussies.

i remember civ 3 the pangia map will mess up and you will wind up on some island on the other side of the world of the supercontinent, it was large enough for your civ but every AI is out there tech trading and geting thousands of years head of you, also i used to love to tech trade at the start and trade starting techs, i think they fixed that in civ 3 cause i dont see too large of islands off of pangia

usualy its in the autosave folder if you haven't started a new game.

oh.

/thread then I guess.

That would make an excellent :whipped: city. I don't consider that a bad start at all, especially with other land masses so close by.
