This crazy American has been here for a year or so maybe two.

Normally when we go into the wilderness generally we stick to the tracks. This guy goes bush so to speak. Or cave diving around the cliffs and ocean in my city.

Anyway water like that is basically pure snow melt. It's in Mount Aspiring national park in my province right near the west coast border.

The water is cold and the insects go nom nom nom.

Yeah he is an experienced canyon guide.

What they're doing is actually quite dangerous a few tourists die not respecting the environment.

Locals as well. I would jump off the bridge but not what he is doing.

Weather can change very rapidly at those locations. Landslides, flash floods etc.

Hell I want to go to some of these places.5 hour drive to get there.

Due to terrain two places might be 30km apart as the crow flies. But it's a 340km drive.
