Wow, crazy chat people.

How do I deal with this?

Other Person told me a while ago not to send her messages. I put her on block. Then, under another name she IMs me and makes weird small talk and invites me to a conference. I join but another person who likes to yell at me is in there so I don't say anything. So this happens:

Other person (6/10/2010 7:56:44 PM): So youcan sit here and blab about Petty incessantly and not talk in the conf? [Note: I have no idea where the 'blab about Petty' thing came from. I did not mention him]

Other person (6/10/2010 7:57:11 PM): Quit being a damn chicken and talk

Then I say something in the conference but nobody says anything so after I'd say 10 minutes I leave it. Then 2 minutes after I leave, Other Person says she is reporting me to the police for harrassment because I wouldn't leave her alone even though she IMd me. I told her thats not a good idea because I think she could get in trouble for making a false police report.

The last things she said to me was that the phone was on hold. However she has a reputation of bluffing so I dont know if shes really on hold with the police or if shes just making up feces.

I saved the chat log.

How do I deal with crazy people like this? And why do I always seem to attract the loonies?

Just avoid internet chat rooms and you'll drastically cut the number of loonies you come into contact with. Also unless you go to some extreme lengths in harassing someone police won't care so you have nothing to worry about on that front.

I dont go to internet chat rooms. I knew this person for a few years at least.

How do I deal with crazy people like this?

Tell them why they are crazy. A direct, fairly polite but direct, approach works always best.
