The people of Spain and especially the Queen Herself are in utter shock as their neighbors the Dutch declare war. For years Spain has had friendly relations with the Dutch and what happened? Willem van Oranje has shown his true colors after all these years.

Luckily for the Queen, the Dutch have elected to attack in the super secret meeting location where the Queen has rallied her best troops. While Dutch War Elephants and Catapults sit outside the city, fresh walls were built on the hilltop city, and new weapons have just been handed out to Spain's best. We expect a bloody battle that will end with victory for the Queen yet again.

How fascinating that such a rallying position even exists. One wonders for what purpose...

Anyway good news: Moscow has fallen.

Bad news: The Russians are now the vassals of the Greeks, which pulled them into a war with Germany as well. Guess the Crown has to change the original plan of conquering St. Petersburg and Moscow before accepting a Russian capitulation up a bit.

Well OOC all I can say is LOL you shouldn't be surprised, I did put in a message that we were rallying our troops to come to the defense of Russia, haha.

Queen Isabella is torn about the Russian decision to capitulate to Greece asking for their help against the overwhelming German invasion. On one hand, we are glad to see someone willing to protect them and fight the German menace. On the other hand, we've never been a fan of the Greeks. Our close borders spark tensions. As we have now been drawn into a war with the Dutch, the decision point is moot, for now.

There is nothing to report on the battlefront with Holland. Their catapults and war elephants loom outside our city, however own own reinforcements have just arrived, with brand new weapons to boot.

In other Spanish news, the crown has supported the completion of the Sistene Chapel in our lands, a great building to be another center of worship for the many religions that are allowed within our lands.

The Hitites have eventually settled down under the benign rule of the Hawklords but their lands need some improvements.

The Spanish have long been wary of anything related to the Portuguese to their west. However on this occasion Isabella has sent an emissary to them with a message, showing her willingness to trade understanding of new technologies, hopefully and maybe the first olive branch of future agreements between the two nations. Time will tell if the emissary returns with good news... or returns at all.

Guys, guys! Don't you see that your infighting can only serve to make the Spanish menace even stronger? Germany offers its service as neutral mediator.
