GPS to Dell.

Bad turn for the French after the massive loss of artillery.
Bombarded the Austrian navy in Trieste. Now it is up to the Italians and British to keep pounding the city so that the damage ships remain so.
Lots of minor conflicts (land and sea) with neutrals (and a few promotion !) but I lost wildly some 6 R Inf in an attempt attack against the German stack with artillery.
Killed a German infantry that had come into our borders.

Two destroyers broke the blockade in Trieste and managed to sink a French pre dreadnaught and a destroyer that had been limping along the Italian coast. Some minor bombardment elsewhere.

Interesting. The Austrian Fleet has proved to be a tougher opponent than the German one.

The Austrian Fleet also fought a more equal foe...I forget the exact number, but I think that the Austrians maybe even outnumber the Italians at the start. Germany is down 6 capital ships at the start and is outnumbered by British Vessels around 5 to 3. Just saying that it is an easier fight for the Austrians.

Sorry guys ... had to go away unexpectedly for work on Tuesday - its coming to that time of the year again - so never got to play the turn.

I get home late tonight or early hours of the morning ... I shall try to play the turn then.

I did kind of leave out France... I will give you credit Dell for your naval performance so far. It has been superb. Unfortunately for me British waters are further away and my navy had to be vulnerable to an attack for one turn whereas in most cases you can strike and then retreat back to port if memory serves me correct. Nevertheless, you have done an outstanding job as far as your navy is concerned.

As for my Navy I had a couple Admirals shot for treason and conspiring with the Austrians . If it wasn't for the traitors in our fleet it wouldn't have been sent to the bottom-never mind that I order the fleet to Venice.

You mean your admirals survived when almost the entire fleet was destroyed? Seems to me that chances are that they would have been killed when the rest of your fleet... Seems like more of a bad executive command decision than treasonous admirals to me.

I owe you guys a huge apology ... as you can probably guess, I didn't get a chance to play the turn before I had to leave on business again ... its just that time of year i'm afraid ! When i'm away, I don't have a computer with Civ on it and EXTREMELY limited internet access therefore it is hard to keep in touch.

On the plus side, I only have these business trips before Christmas and with this being the last one of the year, things will get back to normal when I return.

Speaking of returning, I will be back home sometime Wednesday morning and I promise to play the turn as soon as I get home ... after I say hello to the family of course

Im back ... getting home Wednesday quickly became getting home Thursday but i'm here now.

Played and sent.

German Destroyer west of Esbjerg damaged by Submarine which was sunk in a valiant stand.

German Conscript Infantry on border of Antwerp shelled by Artillery.

Antwerp attacked by Biplanes resulting in destruction of Major Port.

Jerusalem attacked ... three infantry killed for no loss ... Jerusalem is now in British hands.
