I was very impressed with snafusmith's Bismarck and AEGIS Cruiser and pause construction of IJN Zuikaku to make fully animated BB IJN Yamato(so-called Super Battleship).
This is remodel of original CivIV Battleship, representing early Yamato with 4 155mm secondary turrets.
Poly count is relative high - 960.
Use the fscale=0.8, and point to the Yamato.kfm file in your XML.
Can be used with my new late Yamato without restrictions.

Thanks sharick for this TUT:Complete Guide to Creating Units in 3ds Max!

Could you post a screenshot with the original battleship and the Yamoto in comparison? Can't see a difference out of hand...

O yes, and finally someone trying to create one of the early carriers! :goodjob:

Very nice, I'm glad to see more people taking on warships. I'll drop a hint here that soon (w/in 2 weeks) I'll be releasing close to a dozen new warships, ranging from early wooden sailing ships to ironclads to ww2 capitol ships all the way up to modern destroyers. All animated of course. That's all I have to say about that! But thanks for taking on the Yamato, as now I don't have to!

nice to see the range of ships also..neede more ships in general however the addition of "older" ships was much needed:)

Masterful, glad the yamato has been done so well.

nice one, good job :)

Does that list of units being released, include a German Heavy Cruiser, otherwise known by some by the title of a Pocket Battleship, an example being the Graf Spree? Anyway, it sounds like this should be good for the MaxRiga Mod in the early eras at least from 1900 to 1945. Healz.

I'm not sure if I'll get to the Graf Spree, I know the Emden and probably the Prince Eugen are going to be done (the Emden is at least modeled at this point). In terms of where they're going to end up, they are going to be released exclusively in a mod I made to accurately represent the modern era. The goal is to give most civs unique units from the common modern unit classes.
