WW2-Global

Thank you for all the positive comments.

This scenario should still have a long time to live.

Next to be done will probably be a new special AI-version.

Download of the WW2-Global 134 MB file has passed 10 000!

This fact really shows the basic strenght of the CIV 3 system!

Very impressive although I'm surprised it didnt exceed that number a long time ago.

BadKharma,

Thank you.

I think its due the fact that 134 MB still is a very large
download for many people.

Heck, I can remember when this thread was pushing 1000 replies and we were all wondering about the new rule that had been made about really big threads. We were playing v1.3 at the time.

Now there are nearly 6000 posts in this thread, and we're up to version 2.1! The amount of work done on this is incredible, and the number of people playing it and discussing only slightly less so! Congratulations Rocoteh, and thank you once again for such a masterpiece! :king:

psweetman1590,

Thank you for the positive words.

In a PM-discussion with Thunderfall some days ago, he told me
that the WW2-Global thread can continue beyond the 6 000 limit.

That is for sure good news!

absolutely great scenario. For A world war two buff I love your work on this and Brabarossa. I have been a lurker for a long time and read every post in this thread, absolutely good reading and I watch the closk tick at work until I can go home and get a few turns in. Can constantly play and go back into editor and change stuff just for me. Absolutely fantastic!!!!

Thank you for many days/weeks of enjoyment!!!

I've searched high and low through many posts, can anyone tell me what you start out with (i.e. how many units each nation begins with) Quite often you see lists of players later in games but I'm interested in starting numbers.

I got CIV 3 Gold Edition, Can I play this scenario?
and If I can, can you explain how?

I've tried the instructions on the front page, they didn't work.

Aloha,

I think the Gold Edition only includes the "Play the world" add-on and not the "conquest" add-on which is necessary to play most of these scenarios. Perhaps I am wrong but it seems you need to get hold of Conquests in order to play this outstanding scenario.

Hammerwise,

Thank you.
I am very glad to hear that.

You are right:
No one have posted stats on starting numbers yet.

Its possible I will make such stats later this fall.

On the CIV 3 Gold Edition:

As Baldurslayer says you must have
Conquests to play this scenario (and many other scenarios).

OK,

Is there a way I can get conquests mod or something which will allow me to play scenarious or do I actually have to buy the game (which is pointless sinceI got the newer Civ 3 gold edition)

thnx

vidimce,

I guess you must buy CIV 3 Complete.

Its possible to buy it for $ 13.

Aloha,

"which is pointless since I got the newer Civ 3 gold edition" The pricing of older games and especially bundles is usually rather chaotic and irrational. Personally I had considered the gold version as a scam since "Conquests" does include the earlier add-on "To play the World" thus selling the original version in conjunction with Conquest would really make sense. (finally they have come around to this idea and this bundle costs €20 at the moment, next month it will be down to €10 due to a new company selling them ...) [so the $13 strikes me as a good deal] :crazyeye:

As far as I know the Gold edition was released in 2003, the very same year as they released Conquests (November).
