Week 31 1941: My review of both friend and foe F3 shows that there is a significant air war going on in Northern Europe or
Scandanavia. The British lost 62 bombers this week! The USSR has lost about half of their air strenth. I am fighting an air war of attrition in Asia and the USSR is getting the worse of it. In dogfights I'm winning about 10 to 1 and I am destroying the USSR new deployment of more than 25 aircraft each week on the ground. I have not yet observed any Armoured units in either Europe (scout aircraft from CVEs or Faeroe Islands) or Asia so I can only conclude that they are on there way to contest the invasion of Mongolia and Manchuria. I believe this campaign will decide the war! I have transferred all of my land based bombers and fighters to Asia. I have only left some old carrier types in N America as a rear guard in case Mexico et al decides to get aggressive now that there are very few units left in the USA. I sortie my remaining vessels in the Atlantic covering my 12 new carriers with a comlete complement of aircraft and the 9 new BBs going to the North Sea to assist the Brits. I have also sent a small landing force just in case there is a tactical moment to use them.
The British Units landed south of Vladivastok are not heading to Amgu but toward Ansi (have they spotted the phantom tanks.)
I use the Naval Bombardment to demolish the units and then assault using my old Tanks; destroying 11 Infantry, garrisons and two artillery units with no losses. I occupy Amgu with 7 Units. I am sending all of my available reserve units to Vladivastok to assist with the suppression of the resisters.
I send a small carrier force (CVEs and destroyers) to raid Anadyr and prepare for an invasion of Siberia and the Kamchatka peninsula from Alaska.
No change in Europe
Week 32, Possible major tank engagement. Both the British and Soviets each lose over 50 tanks. British also lose 6 CLs (perhaps to Soviet subs?) I continue my air suppression and look to send the forces necessary to take Khabarovsk. My bombardment fleet moves to Vanino. Another British landing near Vladivastok along with another large Chinese Cavalry group moves to attack the Soviet positions with my border.
No Change in Europe
Week 33 An apparantly endless sortie of British Bombers passes through my scout area from one of their cities (possibly Su-Chou) to a destination somewhere Southwest of Irkutsk. I will check that area with my longest range plane to see if I can locate their attack force next turn. Usual air suppression and I prepare to assault Khabarovsk and Vanino next week. Half of the population of the cities captured still resisting. I will be happy when my "convoys" arrive in four and five weeks to add another 64 ground units to assist with the suppression of the resisting population or defense againest the impending battle.
Still no change in Europe (China still holds Warsaw!?)
Week 34 to Week 44: Ongoing air suppression. It takes about 5 more ground units than the city size for two weeks to pacify a rebellious city after capture, we capture: After an unsuccessful British assault on Khabarovsk I move my land units to attack including 8 Artillery and 14 Tanks. Use SBDs and artillery to demolish the units and attack with tanks. Too many units - I do not lose any but they had more units than me; I take the city with reinforcements the next week and send to Vanino the Transports to assault the demolished city the following week with success. Vladivastok has been suppressed, finally freeing a dozen or so land units. The British and Russians continue to "lose" tanks and Kishinev and Lwow have been retaken by the USSR. The Nazis keep getting stronger (they are now building SSPz 1943s.)
USA next assault is to capture Komsomolsk. Same tactics as before. SBDs, B-25s, Artillery and the refreshed Tanks. This time it falls after 2 weeks of bombardment before the assault; and on week 44 using the same tactics, Chagda succumbs.
Week 43, 1941: Two successful Bombardment and then invasions capturing Ockhosk and Anadyr. The First sign of Tanks are coming. Previously the Chinese had successfully captured Irkust after a presumably unsuccessful attack. The remaining attacks made by the Allies in Mongolia have met with failure. British, French, Chinese and a small Dutch force Labored to attack Kumara in the East and Tjita in the West but to no avail. They were successfully defended by the USSR without Tanks!
Week 44 The Nazis start an offensive againest Venice using their new armour. From my Central Italian Airbase I use my P-38s, B-25s, a few SBDs, and my new B17s to assists in the defense. Chinese Warsaw finally falls to the Nazis. Venice Holds!
Week 45, 1941 through Week 1, 1942: The Red Tanks arrive in force! Over 100 T-34s, KV-1s, and new SU-122s are approaching(without roads or air cover) Irkutsk and Ulan Bator from the West and South. Since they are damaged I am assuming that these are some of the survivors from the attrition battles over the last 10weeks between USSR and Brits. I see Brits and French heading North from Ansi to Ulan Bator passing in front of Lanchow(usa owned.) USA will send 23 Tanks (M2A2, Stuarts, and 3 new Shermans) and 11 M-10s followed by 5 Marines and 9 Inf into the Battle. Only the Marines survive but neither city falls. Great Fun!!! The USSR lost almost 300 Tanks and as many Infantry and Persia accepts their peace terms as the Chinese were about to take Tjita and Kumara.
But this does not give us our domination victory -- The allies are only at 52% Area and 70% Population.
To our fearless Leader "R" -- for your amusement.
Aecon!
