WWI Scenario

Has anyone else had problems downloading this scenario? I have one person saying they can't download it, but many others have. I'm not quite sure what to tell them. Let me know thanks.

I just downloaded it using Firefox coz Windows 8 cant download attachment
I cant load it when loading a mod?I cant select this on set up game after enabling it on mod

Not sure what's up. Why does windows 8 not allow you to download it? All it is is a compressed zip folder with the mod info file. Atm I am playing as France.

It must be something to do with your pc settings. I would suggest talking to tech support and tell them you can't download files on here and you can't load scenarios. If you send a dxdiag or something, perhaps they can give you some insight as to what's wrong.

The map is in your mods folder at Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\WWIMapNew (v 1). You'll find it inside that folder it will have a worldbuilder symbol. Copy and paste that into your Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\maps folder. Then in game go to mods, singleplayer, advanced set up. Where it says contintents click on it and scroll down and find WWIMapNew (I think that is what it is called, but you can't miss it). Then hit back and there will be a circle you click on that says load scenario.

Remember whenever you download a scenario you have to add the map to the maps folder. First you have to go in game an let the mod enable in the mods section. Then you exit the game and put the map in the maps folder and restart the game.

And ashley26ph2003 I am very sorry you have had problems. If you can load and play please give me a heads up to what you think. I feel that once you get the map in the maps folder you'll be fine. Also, the game set up for AI handicap warlord. When I play, I play on king, so try it on whatever difficulty you want.
 
Great scenario, just remember to put the map in one folder and the scenario to another.

My dream would be to get each faction a special UA, and to change the leader screens with simple static photos of the leaders, like in Empires of Smoky Skies scenario.

Thanks and I have been wanting to make those kinds of changes. I'll have to figure out how to change the leaderheads. That would be awesome. I'll look into changing UAs as well.
 
I am working on a mod created by LeeS that will add Great General and Admiral names for each civ in the scenario. At least I am going to try. This should make the scenario have a better WWI feel to it.

France Great Generals Joseph Joffre, Auguste Dubail, Louis Bonneau, Paul Pau, Ferdinand Foch, Pierre Ruffey, Fernand de Langle de Cary, Charles Lanrezac, Joseph Anthelme Fournier, Michel-Joseph Maunoury, Joseph Gallieni, Franchet d'Espèrey, Louis Maud'huy, Philippe Pétain (14 should be good)

France Great Admirals François Darlan, Dominique-Marie Gauchet, Marie-Jean-Lucien Lacaze, Paul Campion, Jean Émile Paul Cras, Jean Decoux, Ernest François Fournier, Émile Paul Amable Guépratte (8 is fine)

Oh sorry. On the screen where you select load scenario. Click the civ at the top and it opens all the civs you can control. Just scroll down and choose the one you want.

I have played Austria myself they are a lot of fun. With Serbia in the game now it is even more interesting as Austria. Have fun and let me know how it goes. :)

I am not sure why. Right now I am working on an update. It will be awhile though.

Anyway there must be something you are not doing right. When you have the screen up when you load scenario is Aghilas Luften at the top of the screen? He is Morocco the first civ shown. If he is not there then something is wrong. If he is there click on him and it should bring up a list of the civs you can choose. If not I don't know what to say.

Hold on send me a link to your mod and I will have a look at it. That would be the first best step. Or send it as an attachment in a compressed zip folder, or whatever. Let me look at that first and see what's up. I want to see what you downloaded.
 
Scenario is excellent, the only thing ii needs is like Haig said leaders creens and for Serbia if somehow they have their own UA and UU and not using from the Huns (if that is possible)

One more thing, the city states doesn't have right names in the game for me. They are Byblos,...and not Copenhagen,...
and maybe city Lemberg is better to be Krakow (it is much more known than Lemberg).
