WWII PBEM - Tora

After an intense bombardment from the Imperial fleet, the Imperial Marines made a successful amphibious assault on Los Angeles. Japanese flag over Hollywood! :D Nonetheless, the Zeros suffered heavy losses to clean the skies from 3 Thunderbolts. :cry:
 
Roosevelt is extremely angry at this turn of events. And the stack in LA is very large and surrounded by rivers... Needless to say, the entire American economy has its head turned towards LA and preparing the counter attack.
 
3 German U-boats spotted off the shores of South America and promptly destroyed.

The Imperial Marines were afraid of a counter attack and have abandoned LA. American troops quickly reinforced the city as well as the Pacific Coast. Bombardment of the Imperial fleet has commenced.
 
WAR!​

Note handed to Naotake Sato, Japanese Ambassador to the USSR, by Soviet Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Molotov in Moscow, on August 1942:

After the heavy defeat of Great Britain and China to Japan, the mighty Rising Sun Empire continues it's Imperialistic attittude towards the world. Taking into account the refusal of Japan to change it's Imperialistic ways, the Allies approached the Soviet Government with a proposal to join the war against Japanese aggression and thus shorten the duration of the war, reduce the number of casualties and contribute toward the most speedy restoration of peace.

The Soviet Government considers that this policy is the only means able to bring peace nearer, to free the people from further sacrifice and suffering and to give the Japanese people the opportunity of avoiding the danger of destruction suffered by other nations.

In view of the above, the Soviet Government declares that, as of tomorrow, the Soviet Union will consider herself in a state of war against Japan.

The Soviet troops have advanced into Manchuria, conquering one small city and a couple of villages.

The Japanese fleet appears to be retreating home to deal with the Russian threat. Americans celebrate in the streets, even though Seattle's population has been decimated.
 
In response we sunk a destroyer and wounded another. Unfortunately we couldn't kill that other destroyer to take out the carrier with the planes on it... With the Japanese retreating home, American can focus again on the east and taking back the skies from the Germans.
 
The Soviet forces continue to advance slowly in India but losing ground in the West. All is being done to slow down the German advance, but the situation might be hopeless...
 
Hitler, you neglect to mention the 2 Mescherschidts (sp!) that were shot down in exchange for a destroyer kill!

Lost 1 Thunderbolt and 1 destroyer in exchange for 2 Mescherschidts...
