XBox or PC? Anyone tried crossplatform multiplayer?

Has anyone been playing the game on console for the past 6 days? I had assumed I would buy it on PC but I am considering buying it on Xbox instead.

Any observations from console players? Has anyone already tried both PC and Console?

Has anyone tried to play a cross-platform multiplayer game (prior to today's patch temporarily disabiling cross-platform play)? If so - how did it go? Any crashes?

I'd love to get some console players on CPL and give it a try, but right now with the latest patch cross compatibility is broken

I had preordered Xbox version, but ultimately went PC. I feel the game would take much longer to play without the mouse and keyboard. They did a decent job with controller, but scanning around and getting info takes much longer.

Just FYI, the patch from yesterday https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/civilization-vii-1-0-1-patch-2.695131/ has disabled PC-to-console cross-platform MP. Console-console should still work though.

I'm on Xbox, it's not easy but I've gotten used to it after a few hours, my only issue is having to turn tooltips off/on every once in a while because it sometimes doesn't show up. The Radial Menu is actually pretty quick and easy to use.
