XNES II: Rise to Glory

soem basic rules have been fleshed out

you'd be bette roff with the ostrogths ;)

a good many naitons I put in thier are what woudl call "flavour" nations; they are thie rto make the NES more exceiting, and, to those who might play them, have a challenge, but for th emost part, be toys for the nations mor emeant to be players to play aroudn with.

of all the underdog nations, i woudl say burgundy, sandwhiche din as it is between Franconia (kingdom of the franks), the Romans, Iberian Romans, and the Visigoths, is per haps a very interesting little nation; it has has te mos tpotential of a lfavor naiton to bring baout a complete surprise, namelly by getting fieifs from the franks and the Visigoths to swtch over ot it, and yes itself, if no plays as it, the biggest chance to be swalloed up by oen fo the naitosn around; and because its in such a strategic little position, their should be alot of hustle to control it :D

No Horse Archers? Or is that Light Cav?

well, like I said (or somthing to the effect of) you could always innovate by researching technologies of your own choice.... ;)

Ok, I just ment this unit was in use at this point in our timeline but I'll be sure to research it :)

Wait, all these *3's and *.5's and stuff, does that mean this is arithmetic based? :p

your right, they were in use; but not too heavilly by anyone on the (current) map, aside form the Hunnis remmiant, and the Nicomedian empires, who, liek the Byzantine empire, has thier cataphracts double as horse archers

those are modifyers; they multiply the amount of troops you effectivlyl have in any situation.

lets say i have 200 Men-at-arms, and I decide to attack 300 light cvaalry.

because M-a-A get a x2 bonus on the attack, thie reffective numer is at 400, an dbecause the LH gets a bonus agiasnt them, they are at 300

at which point i add any othe rbonuses based on tactics and strategy, and then deiced on the outcome base don all this, or, I simply say **** it, and put the stats into a combat calculator thing I found on the net, and let it, obviosulyl unbiasedlly, figure out the victor of the battle (no, i wont give away the comabt calculator, you will ahve to find your own; i odtn want any sort of cheating by trygn to figure the odds of a battle outcome before people send in orders, or *****ing baout how they had the better odds, or **** like that)

Stats done for;

-Rome
-Iberia
-Nicomedia
-Ostrogoths
-Visigoths
-Buwayhids
-Fatamids
-britannia
-Angle-land
-Germany
-Franks
-Burgundy
-Syria

stats the need to be done-
-Danesland
-Russ
-Norway
-Sweden
-Hunnic Reminant/Hungary( the big pink blob)
-Kingdom of the Lombards (orang dudes, just south of germany,a nd just above the Roman danube)
-Aremenia
-Basques
-Asturias
-Emirate of Tripoli
-Picts
-Ireland
-whatever they hell the green thing between russia and the danube happens to be.

whoops, forgot the kingdom of the berber, which i just finished :)

Who are the Russ in your NES?

the russian principalities, they are smack dab in the middle of a bunch of compelted stats, and i feel bad for not havign finshed them yet, so i think I will finish them up next

Xen I can't wait for this to come out. When? :D

soon, hopefully late rtonight, bu that sasusmign I can keep my pace, and that my mom wont have to use her computer later tonight

*note, i just complete, the Russan principalities, the Kingdom fo the Lombards. the Kingdom of the basques. and the Kingdom of Astruias

Holy crap! The Austraisians (sp?) are tougher than I thought they would be. Time, methinks, to get out the old strategy book. ;)

Asturias? they are a paper tiger, me thinks.

and technically, you have 1000 more troops then they do, and a MUCH larger econoym to pull troops from. so dont whine :p
