...you vainly attempt to control the effects of inflation by asking for a cost-of-living raise at work

...you move your mouse to the edges of the browser window and expect it to scroll for you (I just did this :crazyeye: )

...you can't wait for December 31st, when this turn will finally be over [party]

i don't think you're playing too much.
you still had time to post this message.
It probably took you 5 minutes, which you could have spent ending 5 turns.

Not specific to Civ I, but I remember it from that game:
Dreaming about your settler irrigating.

Remember, the little canvas wagon with the big 'I' on it? :)

When a flicker in your car dashboard immediately make you feel it's going to crash to desktop, and you hold your breath.

When you feel nervous everytime your hard disk led blimps, as it could be the time your application Crashes to desktop.

When you connect to internet every half an our to check if nVidia has some new Beta driver that could help you...

i played for 12 hours non stop on friday night/Saturday morning, i did actually stop and go to bed after about 8 hours but foolishly took the manual with me to read, read for about 5 mins, got straight back up again and played for another 4 hours!

when there is a thunderstorm outside and all you can think is: "I hope the power doesn't go out, so I can play civ 4 when I get home!"

When you try to explain the theory of relativity to your other half and that when you say "I'll just play for 5 minutes" you mean really 3 hours.

.....every time I close my eyes - even to blink - I see civ icons - workers, cities, etc....

You play too much civ iv when you try to take over your neighbor's cubicle by increasing the "culture" of your own. (nudie pictures are culture!)
